Our EYFS end-of-year celebration at school was a delightful event, filled with joy and excitement. The young pupils charmed the audience with their lively musical performances, showcasing their budding talents and enthusiasm. The ceremony celebrated their growth and achievements, creating lasting memories for both the children and their proud families.
Our Prep School's end-of-year Celebration of Achievement ceremony was a remarkable event highlighted by the distribution of well-earned awards, enchanting choir performances, and the sincere acknowledgement of Year 6 students as they prepared to advance to grammar school.
The year 13 graduation ceremony at Jeddah Prep and Grammar School was a memorable event filled with joy, pride, and nostalgia. The ceremony began with a heartfelt speech from the Guest speaker Sara Zaini (Co-Founder and Partner of Emkan Education), who highlighted the achievements and growth of the graduating class. Graduates, dressed in caps and gowns, proudly walked across the stage to receive their certificates amidst cheers from family, friends, and teachers. Emotional speeches from students and staff reflected on their shared journey and the bright futures ahead. The event concluded with a lively reception, where everyone celebrated their accomplishments and bid farewell to the graduates as they embarked on their next adventures.
The youngest members of our community have enjoyed coming to our JPGS Stay and Play sessions throughout the year. Monday mornings have enabled the children to ease into integrated play sessions and parents to meet new friends.
The pupils of Year 4B left everyone spellbound by putting on an incredible performance in today's assembly. They travelled back in time to World War 2 Britain, experienced the chilling sound of the air raid siren and visited shelters. Their confidence on stage was inspiring, giving us a glimpse into the reality of wartime life. The assembly ended on an impressive note with a heartfelt song. Thank you Ms Nouman for her efforts and to the parents for attending. We are so proud of our pupils.
Year 4C presented a wonderful assembly, which showcased some of their learning this year. The pupils worked collaboratively in small groups and devised their own ideas for the assembly. They wrote scripts, self-directed their performances, and made their own props. They even practised using loud ‘red’ voices. Rehearsals were lots of fun, with pupils supporting and advising each other, and they thoroughly enjoyed performing in front of the school and parents.
JPGS is proud of our Key Stage 3 pupils for their remarkable achievements at the COA assembly. Their dedication, hard work, and enthusiasm have truly shone through, earning them well-deserved awards. This recognition is a testament to their commitment to excellence and a promising indicator of their bright futures. Congratulations to all!
Year 2 students celebrated Mother's Day at school with a series of special activities and events to honour their mothers. The celebration included arts and crafts activities and writing heartfelt messages to show their appreciation. The children also prepared a short performance, which included songs and poems dedicated to their mothers. It was a heartwarming occasion filled with smiles, laughter, and a sense of community, highlighting the importance of family and the special bond between mothers and their children.
Last week at JPGS, we proudly hosted the JPGS Got Talent competition, and it was an incredible experience for everyone involved. The participants showcased various hidden talents that amazed us all. The journey was entertaining and a wonderful opportunity to uncover and celebrate the diverse skills within our community.
Every student who participated in the three-day event will be awarded 20 house points for their efforts and enthusiasm. Congratulations to the outstanding winners in the final.

Year 1 celebrated the end of their unit with a Superhero Day-themed obstacle course, an exhilarating adventure where young heroes, donning capes and masks, conquered challenging hurdles with gusto, embodying the spirit of courage and resilience.

JPGS Science Department is proud to announce that our Student-led British Science Week celebrations were a resounding success. There were poster competitions and an amazing Science Quiz. The highlight was the volcano experiments. Prizes were awarded to the winners.
As science week is in full swing, the KS2 pupils have been exploring the wonders of science in the playground! Our KS3 students became bubble experts, enchanting younger pupils with giant, shimmering bubbles of all shapes and sizes. Not only did they learn about surface tension and the science behind bubbles, but they also spread smiles and wonder all around.

Science week in the Prep school commenced with a thrilling launch assembly and a brilliant display of curiosity. Exploring the theme of 'Time', the assembly showcased what a scientist is and how science links to 'Time'. From optical illusions to observing chemical reaction times, this assembly captured the enthusiasm and excitement of pupils. With the launch assembly setting the stage, Science Week at JPGS promises to be an inspiring celebration of STEM scientists, knowledge and innovation.

The chess competition at JPGS was a thrilling event that brought together students of all skill levels to showcase their strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. Participants displayed impressive tactics making it a memorable and engaging experience for all involved.
The Key Stage 3 maths challenge at JPGS provided students an exciting opportunity to test their mathematical abilities beyond the standard curriculum. Through engaging and thought-provoking problems, students were encouraged to think creatively, develop problem-solving strategies, and cultivate a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts.
During the holy month of Ramadhan the JPGS community donated new Eid clothes for children in need. Representatives from the Prep and Grammar school delivered the clothes to Mawakab Al Ajer on Wednesday 27th March.
JPGS is extremely proud of Nour Binmahfouz and Salma Moumena for performing incredibly well during the rowing championships held in Durrat last weekend with Nour taking home the Gold medal and Salma the Bronze. Well done!
Book week is a great way to celebrate the joy of reading and encourage a love for books. JPGS celebrated World Book Day with the costume parade which included children and teachers from EYFS all the way to Year 9. It was amazing to see everyone getting into the spirit of things with costumes based around various themes such as the verse novels we explored in the Prep School.
Salma Shaheen Mohammed and Julia Vasconcelos Dos Reis of 5B travelled to Dubai this weekend to participate in the United States of America Gymnastics competition (USAG). Both girls achieved gold, silver and bronze medals in their respective competitions and came in at an overall 2nd place winning a trophy. JPGS is proud of them.
