PUBLIC ADVISORY NO. EBB - 05 - 2021:
ADVISORY FOR VACCINATED TRAVELLERS TO THE PHILIPPINES
Saudi citizens and expatriates do not require carrying plastic documents of their national identity, residency permit (iqama), driving license and vehicle's registration (istimara).
“The new Absher Individuals” portal will help citizens and expatriates dispense with their plastic ID and iqama and enjoy the benefits of carrying its digital version.
Muhammad Al-Jasser, spokesman of Civil Status, said on Monday that the Digital ID will facilitate the process of verifying the identity of those who do not carry their original ID card.
“It will enable the beneficiaries to view the ID data electronically through the variable QR code on the “Absher Individuals” application. The beneficiaries can download a copy of the Digital ID on the smart device to take advantage of it without the need to connect to the Internet,” he said.

Saturday, June 20, 2020 - Saudi Arabia will lift curfew across the country starting Sunday morning (June 21), the Interior Ministry announced on Saturday.
The curfew will be lifted across the country, including in the cities of Makkah and Jeddah where residents are currently only allowed to leave their homes for necessities.
All economic and commercial activities will be allowed to operate on the condition that they strictly adhere to precautionary measures, the ministry said.
Separately, the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs said men's barbershops and women's beauty salons have also been allowed to function from Sunday.
Umrah pilgrimage and international flights will remain suspended until further notice, the interior ministry said, adding that land and sea borders will also remain closed.
The ministry called on all citizens and residents to download “Tabaud” and "Tawakkalna” apps to receive the latest health instructions about coronavirus.
The ministry also stressed that social distancing measures must be strictly obeyed. Gatherings of no more than 50 people are strictly prohibited, the ministry added.
Individuals must also wear a mask at all times when they are out in public.
Those violating any of the preventative measures will be penalized, the ministry warned.

We share this official poster of the National Flag Days 2020 celebration which begins today, 28 May, and ends on 12 June. On these days, we encourage all Filipinos to and display it in our homes, offices, and other buildings.
This year, our display of flags take on a greater meaning. In countries throughout the world, homes in lockdown displayed their national flags to honor their frontliners and express solidarity amidst physical distancing. Now, it's our turn.
COVID-19 will not stop us Filipinos from celebrating our freedom, a freedom won and defended by our heroes past and present. We fly our flags knowing that we will be victorious over this disease too.
COVID ka lang, GUARDIANS kami!! 💪
Happy Eid-Al-Fitr!

RIYADH — The authorities have advanced curfew time to 3 p.m. from 7.p.m. in the rest of the Kingdom’s regions and cities, Saudi Press Agency said on Tuesday, citing a statement from the Interior Ministry.
The new curfew time, which comes into effect on Wednesday (April 8), follows the announcement of a 24-hour curfew in several cities and governorates of the Kingdom on Monday.
The aim is to ensure sustainability for the citizens and expatriates in fulfilling their needs and access to the services needed, the official source said.
To achieve the state objective, the following five decisions have been taken:
1- Curfew is advanced as of Wednesday in the rest of the regions and cities to be from 3 p.m. to 6 a.m.
2- Restaurants are allowed to provide their takeaway services until 10.00 p.m. via the delivery apps or their vehicles (except moving restaurants for parties and kitchens for large number of guests (walaem), taking into consideration all the required health precautions and hygiene, as per the instructions of the competent authorities.
3- Gas and laundry shops; maintenance and operation technicians; plumbers, electricians, air-conditioning technicians, sanitary drainage tanker trucks, and quick fix maintenance centers for vehicles at gas stations.
4- Owners of farms, beekeepers, livestock owners, poultry farm projects, and fish projects are exempt from ban on movement. They are allowed to carry out their work. They should obtain a permit once every week through the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in coordination with the Security Committee in the region (the region’s police).
5- The curfew does not apply to workers in the charitable societies, volunteers and district centers from 6.00 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Ministry of Interior stresses that these measures have been taken as part of the Kingdom’s efforts to safeguard the public health and prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The measures are subject to continuous assessment by the competent health authorities.
The ministry calls on everyone to show a sense of individual responsibility and comply with the directives and the quarantine measures in the wider public interest.
Salute!
