7 years old lost his father, at the age of 16 half leg was cut by trolley collision, mother became a lioness and gave the country a brave son 🙏🙏

Gold medalist Sumit Antil was born on 7 June 1988 in Khevra village of Sonipat district of Haryana. Sumit's father Ram Kumar Antil was in the Indian Air Force, but Sumit lost him at the age of 7. Sumit's father Ram Kumar died after battling a long illness. Sumit was the only brother of 3 sisters, but after the death of his father, the responsibility of the family came on his mother's shoulders. Mom did not give up in difficult times and worked hard day and night to raise Sumit and her 3 sisters.

Sumit since childhood because he was good in height and saddle, hence he wanted to be wrestlers. For this he decided to join the Indian Army like his father, but an accident made fun of him that shattered his dream. When 16-year-old Sumit studied in 12th standard, one day his bike was hit by a trolley with cement cuts. Unfortunately Sumit lost his leg and half leg in the accident. This accident shattered his dream.

Sumit's mother saw son's dreams falling apart, but she did not give up. A mother didn't let her son lose, but by putting artificial legs on encouraging him to build a career in sports. After the accident in 2015, after recovering in 2 years, Sumit got artificial leg and decided to enter the world of sports. Meanwhile he met the para athlete prince in 2017, who advised Sumit to pursue a career in javelin throw. Sumit made Nawal Singh his coach and started practice at Delhi's Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium. After this mum's red didn't let her hard work go and made history by winning gold medal in Tokyo after Paris 🙏
