Like every LT, the new Spider is designed to excel on track, however, the extra dimension of theatre and drama offered by the convertible roof also makes it an even more immersive and compelling car to drive on the road.​

The fastest, lightest LT Spider yet pushes the limits of technology and design with its one-piece carbon fibre Retractable Hard Top (RHT). Powered by eight e-motors, the system is almost silent in operation. It also opens in just 11 seconds at speeds of up to 50km/h.

Like the 765LT Coupe, the Spider has an unmistakable LT front splitter, side skirts, and enlarged lower side air intakes – all dedicated to managing airflow and cooling. Combined with the lowered suspension and widened front track, the advanced aerodynamics deliver an intensity of driver engagement that has become a Longtail trademark. Once experienced, never forgotten. ​

The immense performance and dynamic prowess of the new McLaren 765LT Spider, are enhanced by three compelling factors: the strength of its MonoCage II-S structure, the game-changing design of its one-piece Retractable Hard Top roof, and the ongoing determination of McLaren engineers to pursue the company’s philosophy of super-lightweight engineering.​

Did you know, the 765LT Spider boasts, 0-60mph in 2.7 seconds, 0-100km/h (62mph) in 2.8 seconds and 0-200km/h (124mph) in 7.2 seconds.​

The bespoke carbon fibre body panels, rear bodywork mesh and glazing look breathtaking. Their functional performance is equally impressive. They comprise 20kg of an overall 80kg weight saving and deliver 25% more downforce. ​

The McLaren 765LT Spider's bespoke carbon fibre body is carved and sculpted to increase downforce. And improve cooling. Its profile is elongated and minimal. ​

Lowered front suspension and a wider front track add purposeful aggression. Dramatic side air intakes are inspired by the legendary 675LT Spider. Pictured here, The McLaren 720S is surrounded by our iconic history. Gulf Oil's instantly recognisable orange and blue livery is now synonymous around the world with innovation, technical excellence and motorsport, three things that are part of our DNA at McLaren.

Over twenty days of intricate work at MSO went into this car to create this incredible Gulf livery which is painted by hand onto the vehicle. ​
