Math Workshop - Activity Based Learning
On June 10, 2024, from 12 PM to 1 PM, a Math Workshop on Activity Based Learning was held at the Math Lab in the Girls Section of Al Alia International Indian school. The workshop was led by Mrs. Sabitha Sudhi, Head of the Mathematics Department for the Girls Section.
Throughout the meeting, the facilitator provided a comprehensive exploration of activity-driven learning in mathematics. They discussed key elements and highlighted the significance of integrating interactive tasks into the educational journey. Interactive tasks like calculating algebraic expressions, computing the total surface area of a cylinder and playing number games were featured as successful strategies to enhance the learning process and deepen comprehension of mathematical ideas.Through engagement in these activities, participants were able to actively explore the content and enhance their educational outcomes.
In general, the Math Workshop focusing on Activity Based Learning offered valuable perspectives and useful tactics for enhancing math instruction by engaging students in hands-on activities that foster effective learning.
On 10th June, 2024, Al Alia International Indian School hosted a successful assembly organized by the students of grades 8A and 8B based on the theme Food Preservation.
The assembly commenced with a warm welcome by the students, setting a positive tone for the event. Following the opening remarks, the school's Principal, Dr. Shanu C. Thomas, addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of such events in fostering a sense of community and learning within the school.
A key highlight of the assembly was an awareness class conducted by Ms. Priyanka Jeyanadaraj. She delivered an informative session on the importance of food preservation, emphasizing how proper food preservation techniques can help reduce waste and promote sustainability. Her engaging presentation captivated the audience, providing valuable insights and practical tips on the subject.
The event's success was largely due to the meticulous planning and coordination by the activity coordinators and academic coordinators. Their efforts, along with the support from the class teachers, ensured that the assembly proceeded smoothly and efficiently.
Overall, the assembly was a well-organized and informative event that reflected the collaborative spirit of Al Alia International Indian School.

On June 10, 2024, Al Alia International Indian School celebrated a vibrant and joyous Share and Care Party, involving students from KG to 12th grade. The event was a spectacular display of unity, and community spirit, as students, dressed in colorful attire, brought an array of delicious and diverse food items to share with their peers.
The school premises buzzed with excitement as students showcased their culinary contributions. The food, ranging from traditional dishes to contemporary favorites, highlighted the rich cultural diversity within the school community.
Teachers and students alike participated enthusiastically in the celebrations. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and the cheerful chatter of students exchanging stories and sharing meals.
The Share and Care Party was more than just a feast; it was an embodiment of the school’s values of community, sharing, and togetherness. The event provided an excellent opportunity for students to bond with each other and their teachers, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie.

On June 9, 2024, Al Alia International Indian School hosted a special event to celebrate Yoga Day. The assembly, organized by the 9B students, showcased their dedication to raising awareness about yoga. Students performed a captivating yoga dance to demonstrate their agility and flexibility, guided by teachers Mrs. Dhanya Sarath and Mrs. Divya Varun, promoting overall well-being through yoga postures.
Mrs. Nisha Azeem, Academic Co-ordinator of (IX-XII), delivered an inspiring speech on the importance of yoga for holistic health and harmony. Special thanks to Mrs. Juney Sajan, Class teacher, and Mrs. Merin Siji, Activity Co-ordinator, for their efforts in organizing the successful Yoga Day assembly, promoting a deeper appreciation for yoga and showcasing the school's commitment to holistic well-being
On 5th and 6th of June, 2024, Al Alia International Indian School hosted the Scholar Badges Distribution Ceremony, recognizing the academic achievements of students from grades 1 to 12. This prestigious event celebrated the hard work and dedication of students who excelled in their studies over the past academic year.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Principal in Charge, Mrs. Kavita Latha Kadhiresan, who delivered an inspiring speech. She congratulated the students on their accomplishments and encouraged them to maintain their enthusiasm for learning.
The highlight of the event was the distribution of scholar badges to the deserving students, a tradition that symbolizes academic excellence and encourages students to strive for higher achievements.
The scholar badges were awarded to students and each recipient was called on stage to receive their badge accompanied by applause and cheers from their peers and teachers.
Certificates and medals were also awarded to the top performers in each subject. Special gratitude is extended to the class teachers, subject teachers, exam coordinators, academic coordinators, and activity coordinators for their contributions to the academic excellence of students and the smooth distribution of achievement awards.

On 5thJune, an assembly was held by Class IX A (senior section) and Class IV A (junior section) of Al Alia International Indian School to commemorate World Environment Day 2024, focusing on the theme of Land restoration, desertification, and drought resilience.The Junior Section showcased the importance of saving trees through a musical skit, while the Senior Section presented a skit and video aligning with the World Environment Day theme.The Principal-in-Charge of Girls' section ,Mrs.Kavitha Latha Kadhiresan delivered a motivating speech during the assembly, highlighting the significance of environmental awareness and action in line with the day's theme. The Eco Club showcased green plants in the auditorium to highlight nature conservation. Students contribute plants for conservation efforts, guided by Eco Club in -charge-teachers Mrs. Syma Rani, Mrs. Juney Sajan, Mrs. Renjini, and Mrs. Honey Varughese.Special thanks to Mrs. Preethy Manesh and Mrs. Anju Jacob, Class teachers of IX A and IV A respectively, and Activity Coordinators-Mrs.Merin Siji,Mrs.Ash*tha Sunny for their dedicated support and guidance, ensuring the success of the World Environment Day event.
World No To***co Day is observed every year on May 31st to raise awareness about the harmful effects of to***co use and to advocate for policies that reduce to***co consumption.
We at AAIIS observed this day to promote to***co-free lifestyles and advocate for stronger to***co control measures.
A special assembly was organised by students of Grade 10 on this occasion. The Assembly began with the General proceedings of the school followed by a mime presentation with the theme ‘To***co Kills’. To enlighten the students more about the hazards of consuming to***co, a video presentation was also displayed.
Our Principal, Dr. Shanu C Thomas, addressed the young minds and stressed on the hazards of to***co consumption in the students and their family members. He also made the students understand the importance of leading a healthy life.
Thus, World No To***co Day campaign was a resounding success, with a significant turnout for the students of AAIIS.

Investiture ceremony is an important occasion where a school entrusts its upcoming leaders with certain roles and responsibilities. Delegation of responsibility and giving authority to children is important as it teaches them lifelong skills of being powerful and caring at the same time.
It was a proud moment for all as Al Alia International Indian School held its Investiture Ceremony on 30th May 2024, forming its much awaited Students Cabinet.
The newly elected office bearers of 2024 took the oath of office. Thereafter, they were conferred with badges and sashes by our honourable Principal,Dr. Shanu C Thomas and Academic Supervisor, Mr. Sreekanth followed by the sectional coordinators Ms.Mohasina Shah,Mr.Sulaiman and Mr.Anish P Gopi,which is followed by the house masters Mr.Jobin George,Mr.Sankar D,Mr.Siju Simon Philip and Mr.Siji G.C.
Through his motivating words, our Principal congratulated the team and reminded them that with position comes responsibility towards themselves, their school and peers. He advised them to be role models for their peers and the juniors.
The function concluded with the lighting of candles followed by the school song.
On 30th of May , Class X B came together to commemorate World Anti-To***co Day, highlighting the theme 'Protecting Children from To***co Industry Interference' for the year 2024.The students displayed their dedication to the cause through a mesmerizing dance performance.In addition to the impactful performances, the day also saw the inauguration of the Blog and Vlog of the Senior Secondary section.Mrs. Kavitha Latha Kadhiresan, Principal in charge,Girls' section, along with Publishing Team Members Mrs. Mirfath Iqbal and Mrs. Vineetha Hareesh, officially launched the platforms. The prompt and positive response from the students towards the content creation is warmly acknowledged. A heartfelt appreciation is given to the committed educators who have provided guidance and support for the blog and vlog projects. Special gratitude goes to the class teacher, Mrs. Jijimol Varughese, as well as the activity coordinators, Mrs. Merin Siji and Mrs. Ash*tha Sunny, for their invaluable efforts in conducting the assembly .

Mrs. Kavita Lata Kadhiresan, Principal in Charge Girls Section, took the stage to deliver a motivating address to the audience. She highlighted the significance of the roles and responsibilities associated with the badges of honor, urging the newly appointed leaders to embody the school's values and pursue excellence in all their undertakings. The ceremony reached its pinnacle with the symbolic act of pinning badges, the presentation of sashes, and the passing of flags to the deserving individuals.Kavitha mam assumed the important role of symbolizing the trust and responsibilities given to the student leaders. Subsequently, she supervised the oath-taking ceremony for the Head Girl, who then led the other student leaders in pledging their commitment to serve the school with dedication and integrity.
The event featured a reverent candlelight prayer and the rendition of the school anthem, cultivating a feeling of unity and school pride among the attendees.
A special appreciation goes out to the Academic coordinators, Activity coordinators, discipline in-charge teachers, class teachers, and subject teachers for their invaluable contributions that ensured the seamless organization and success of the program. To wrap up the ceremony, the Head Girl delivered a sincere vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to the principal, teachers, and students for their unwavering support and active involvement.The Investiture Ceremony at Alia International Indian School concluded as a triumphant event, leaving a lasting impact filled with pride and dedication.
