A little story about the Artwork for 'You Gotta Get Going'

For as long as I can remember, I have owned a raggedy hardback copy of Georg Gersters Grand Design book. It is a unique collection of aerial photographs taken from chartered flights across the globe, capturing the terrain of our planet Earth. But there was always just one photograph that stood out and kept me looking over and over again at it. For decades I spent countless hours looking over this fantastical photograph with music filling my head as the desire to use this photograph with my music somewhere along the line. To me, it denotes the feeling of moving through fear and anxiety, heading toward an excitement unsurpassable, only to be brought back right to the start, to do it all over again. Will we ever learn?

After all this time, now I felt we had just the right song to fit this photo. So I reached out to the photographer to ask if we could use the image for our songs release. We then learned that Georg had just passed away in 2019, but his daughter Anya wrote back and gave us her blessing to use the image. Anya told us that one of her fathers wishes was to have his photographs used as artwork for music.....something that never happened in his lifetime but is happening now...This makes this all the more DEEPER & BEAUTIFUL...Cheers Georg Gerster R.I.P..............Rich.

We've had a seriously productive day. We battled the heat during the morning session, then the noise from the Rolling Thunder briefly halted play, but the microphones were still recording....now we begin the night session...n there is a lot of piano to record......
