This Friday I will be premiering the video for the title track on my EP, Christchurch. . The song Christchurch is an ode to a very special and now very distant time in my life where I lived and attended art school by the sea in Dorset. I cannot really put into words how profoundly special, beautiful and hilarious this period was, but what made it this way was the people I met there, friends who I feel proud and lucky enough to continue to call my friends. We lived in a beautiful bubble for 3 years, making films, exploring coastlines, falling in love, laughing, crying, partying and dreaming away... I wrote this song as a token of my appreciation of that time, a token of gratitude to those people who made it and continue to make my life so rich and special. It’s a song that reflects nostalgia, longing to go back, the fear of whats ahead, friendship, love, letting go and moving on... . We will never get it back. Those days are gone forever. But the love remains in my heart and the images in my mind. I am so lucky and grateful for that experience. I feel I encountered something very unique and profound... a spiritual experience for sure! . This video aims to hint at some of those feelings experienced during that time, and actually features some of the lovely people who were actually there way back when :) .
