, hope youāre all having a great Tuesday!
This week, weāll be doing a deep dive into the SeaRing Team and the demo release of their 2D indie action-puzzle game, SeaRing!
The team is composed of six Italian artists, who started working on their debut gaming title in late 2018. They were brought together by their shared passion of game development, their mighty aspirations for the gaming industry, and the desire to combine their skills in the creative arts to develop a piece of pixel-art. We loved this team's attitude, so it only made sense to help start to steer their indie-gaming gold into fortune.
To do this, we split our small team into three categories: PR Outreach, Social Media, and QA testing.
PR includes tailoring influencer and media lists for our target audience, splitting coverage to gain attention amongst indie lovers globally, and publishing press releases introducing the SeaRing Team and the demoās launch.
A Social media campaign to boost the gameās social media presence and Steam wishlists was also activated: we helped rework the Steam page and website text, created and launched the official SeaRing Discord, and collaborated on drafting a social media strategy.
Our last category includes thorough playtesting to eliminate bugs, and reworking the gameās core text. Yes, we went through NPC dialogue one by one, and there was A LOT!
With the culmination of efforts behind the scenes, we were all ecstatic to see SeaRing ride some big waves! SeaRing gained a total of 900 wishlists, 3200 activations and 213 unique players on post-launch week, with 500+ wishlists pre-demo.
A quote from GamesVillage āA title that completes its love letter with refined and gorgeous pixel art and an immersive soundtrackā completely embraces what the SeaRing team set out to do.
We want to thank the Sea-sational SeaRing Team for this incredible collaboration. The past couple of months have been so fun and enjoyable: from thorough game testing, introducing the devs to the world, and seeing everyoneās hard work pay off come the demoās launch.
We hope for nothing but the best for SeaRing, and we shell sea how this nautical tale continues!

t's Friday! We're wrapping up the week with another Noovola PR Activity Overview
This week, weāll be doing a deep dive into Mortis Chronicles: Tale of Cowardice (known as Mortis) by Mark Lecarde!
We worked closely with Mark in outlining the most optimal route in running a successful crowdfunding campaign. It was a quick turnaround, from picking up Mortis to launching the page, so we had to make sure everything was in prime condition to properly kickstart Markās vision. Some of the best Kickstarter campaigns have months (if not years) of preparation before launching, so with less time at our disposal, we knew this would be a mighty challenge.
To maximise our chances of success, we play-tested the game to ensure the demo was ready for Itch.io. We researched past and upcoming campaigns, highlighting their pros and cons, to learn from competitors and produce a high quality page with simple assets, that fans would be proud to back. Finally, we created a social media campaign and drafted content for Markās already established Twitter circle to get new eyes on Mortis, keep fan engagement high, and stay on top of our social media presence.
With the main goal being Ā£3,000, our ambitions were high. It was a nail-biting month but, in the end, our first Kickstarter was a resounding success! In the first 24 hours, we raised 28% of our initial goal. Due to this, we were able to create and fund a Steam page for Mortis Chronicles. With a steady stream of donations across four weeks, it came down to the final 48 hours where we raised over Ā£800 to get this project over the finish line. It was a crazy end to a crazy adventure!
We want to thank Mark for granting this fantastic opportunity in showing Mortis off to the masses, and to the group of 61 backers who have now made this game possible! The past few months have been a thrilling journey, pushing the Kickstarter campaign as hard as we possibly could, it's great to see it succeed.
Thereās still a long road ahead, but now we can put our heads down and prepare to release the best possible version of Mortis in Q4 2022!

Hey everybody. We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season! Itās safe to say we missed posting our updates, and Iām sure you missed reading them too. In our first 2022 post, weāll be discussing our new activity over the last month:.
Our first new project is a collaboration with a new Italian-based indie development team called SeaRing Team. Theyāll be releasing a free demo titled SeaRing, a 2D indie action-puzzle game, on Steam on January 13th. SeaRing, the developerās debut venture into gaming, puts a devilish twist on its predecessors by making defending the only way to attack. Players will join the Princess of the Sea in a nostalgic quest to recover her motherās lost crown, and bring peace back to a world ruled by fire. Weāve helped SeaRing Team update their Steam and website text, supported in generating ~500 wishlists prior to the demoās launch, and are currently in the process of getting influencer and media coverage, all in preparation for the demo's release next Thursday!
Hereās the link to their store page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1678880/SeaRing/
Our second project is with Mark Lecarde, based in Russia. Heās the Lead Designer & Developer of Mortis Chronicles: Tales of Cowardice, a turn-based 2D RPG set in the mythical, magical fantasy world of Mortis. Play as Evander, and this tight-knit group of four, as they set out to defeat the gruesomely-evil Grand Demons in this tactical turn-based affair. Mortis currently has an ongoing Kickstarter campaign that is already 43% of the way to be fully funded. Weāve helped Mark set up the Kickstarter and itch.io page (where you can play the Mortis demo), whilst producing content for his socials, to give Mark the best chance of making his indie game developer dreams a reality!
Hereās a link to the Kickstarter page: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mortischronicles/mortis-chronicles-tale-of-cowardice
Our final noteworthy activity last month was an online game-jam titled GamesForBlindGamers hosted by Nightblade, and the twitter community at large. The goal of this jam was to build awareness of accessibility in gaming, primarily within the blind gaming community, whilst also creating enjoyable, replayable games.

We want to thank SeaRing Team, Mark Lecarde, and the GamesForBlindGamers group for these awesome collaborations! Last month at Noovola - an overview of our recent projects [October/November 2021] #1 Last month, we worked on three awesome projects, with three super talented development teams. It was a pleasure to play, share, and collaborate with PixelCon...
This week's edition of Noovolaās PR Activity Overview will focus on our very first partnership: StackUp! (or Dive Trying).
Stack Up is an hilarious party-platformer and hyper-indie project developed and published by PixelConflict, a young Italian game development studio founded at the start of 2021, by 3 friends from Udine. As we have been working with them since before launch, there are a lot of things to cover so this will be part one of a two-part breakdown.
With a very-indie budget at hand, our shared aims were to aid in PixelConflictās growth as an indie studio, begin to generate hype through influencers and press, and organise the Steam store page, website, and social media accounts to hit industry standards. We wanted to establish StackUp as PixelConflictās point of entry into the market, allow the team to showcase their game-development skills, and hopefully facilitate the development of future titles, as well as continuing to build on StackUp past its launch.
Since launch, Influencer coverage has been exciting to witness, with organic pickup on launch day from Twitch stars like Forsen, Lirik, and XQC, and most recently, successful pitching led to more content from Smashing and Stumpt, bringing the game to millions of subscribers. In the last month alone, conversations and mentions online have gone up 40%, with the game receiving a lot of love from various streamersā communities.
There is no secret sauce for the development of a successful indie title, however. Only consistency, continued development and steady hustle will lead to more exposure and sales.
With constant work-flow from both parties, the skyās the limit for this party game, and for the dev's future projects! Thank you PixelConflict for granting us this fantastic opportunity. The fun has just begun and we look forward to what the future holds.

Happy Friday everyone! Hereās the latest from Noovola with another PR Activity Overview:
This time, we want to share a little bit about our work on The Darkest Tales, an action-adventure 2D platformer developed by Trinity Team and published by 101XP. Trinity Team is an independent game development studio based in Italy, established in October 2015, and already well known for their success with āSlaps and Beansā. 101XP is an international online game publisher and the developer behind a plethora of top-tier titles available on Facebook, Steam, Google Play, Apple iOS, and other major platforms.
We worked with 101XP to get as many eyes on The Darkest Talesā prologue, and help reaffirm Trinity Teamās name both nationally and abroad. Our goals were to promote the game as Trinity Teamās next big step in game development, spice up Trinity Teamās discord and website, and showcase the demo to new communities across multiple continents. Our plan focused on increasing conversation about the game throughout social media and the press, aiming to boost demo downloads and ultimately increase wishlists of the full game.
Our main KPIs for the project were securing 1-2 top tier articles within the mainstream gaming media, and given the nature of the project, we also aimed for 2-4 influencers over 50,000 followers to make dedicated content for The Darkest Tales. To reach new audiences, we also looked to diversify our coverage by targeting specific forums, magazines, and podcasts in the fantasy and fairy-tale genres.
This could very well become a weekly ritual as we have done it again; securing some awesome coverage! We saw great articles on the likes of IGN, Multiplayer, and Everyeye among others, bringing the combined total to 53 articles, blogs, and forum posts within a two week period. This also includes two Q&As published on Reddit and Uagna, and a third secured for the titleās full launch.
The Darkest Talesā prologue announcement was covered by 12 countries across the globe, including major gaming markets in the US and UK, Germany, Italy, and Brazil. The announcement also made the rounds on social media, from detailed letās plays to ātop 10sā, with content published by ten influencers totalling just shy of 3.7 million followers.
We enjoyed every single step of this project! Thank you 101XP and Trinity Team for granting us this fabulous opportunity, and congratulations for getting the demo to reach the top five of Steamās āNew and Trendingā list!

Here at Noovola, weāre always on the lookout for exciting indie games in the works. We want to put our favourite projects on a higher pedestal and give them as much exposure as we possibly can (and what they fully deserve!).
With that in mind, we recently partnered with Step2Games, a Polish indie game developer and publisher founded in 2019, to collaborate with one of their games titled Lost Away, a first-person extraplanetary exploration survival game.
As Lost Away is currently in early development, our task at hand was to hype up their announcement trailer. The goal was to get as many eyes as possible on the trailer in order to drive viewership and boost Steam wishlists. We also wanted to entice people to interact with Step2Gamesā socials and website, and get 1-2 top tier articles to get a conversation going within the mainstream gaming media.
Itās safe to say that we blew their expectations out of the park! Major news outlets that covered this story included IGN and PCGamer, securing a combined total of 42 articles, blogs, and forum posts within a 48 hour period. The announcement trailer was covered across the globe, with news coming from Asia, North America, and Europe. The trailer announcement was also covered throughout social media: On Twitter, news organisations totalling over 2.2 million followers tweeted their respective articles. YouTube Trailer hosts, totalling just shy of 17 million subscribers, also re-uploaded the trailer to their individual channels.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time working with Step2Games so we want to thank them for granting us this amazing opportunity! Want to know more about Noovola? Check out our Linktree below to keep up-to-date with all things Noovola!
You'll be able to read plenty more in the future, as we begin to break down other project results and future activities on all social channels. Thank you!
