Now i got another one with Etsy haha

Anyone here sell over there?

Looks like they taken 3 of my listings down, and after speaking to Etsy support, first they tell me this:

Due to VAT laws in France, orders over €150 total from shops outside the EU can’t be shipped to your region right now. Your listing is not available for buyers in certain regions due to regional restrictions. Your listing is searchable and viewable to buyers in other regions.

After telling them my listings are showing up as
Sorry, this item is unavailable in your region.
In my own country, USA, France, Austria, Japan, seems like everywhere, i wasnt even informed of this until i noticed this myself

I told the etsy support chat, that the only time I have had this happen before, was on eBay when they assumed I am selling weapons, which once clarified, we narrowed down that it was the bots picking up on the word "sword"

Once changed to "3D Printed/Plastic Sword" it was resolved

So etsy now says its the "knives and weapons" law, even though it doesnt apply as its a plastic immitation

Time to finally revamp this room as its here to stay as a studio workspace

Hate to be asking here as i like to sort issues like this in private and on my own, but i really need advise

I sold another Cyberpunk Plastic Katana with a reinforced steel rod base
It was further re-enforced with a long wooden beam
thick high density foam
followed by lots of bubble wrap
I got shipping with UPS, with full insurance

The item arrived with the whole handle snapped off and now my customer is not happy
I have went through the claims procedure with a denied claim, with your colleagues recommending me to follow UPS packaging recommendations

UPS have damaged the item and they were claiming there wasn't enough cushioning, I provided evidence for this claim to be false as I used 3cm high density foam on all sides
Including a wooden plank at the base
I have been selling on ebay, etsy, and other online marketplaces for 15 years with an extremely minimal defect rate
It feels like all I'm getting is copy and paste message's and that my evidence is not even being looked at

Now they are saying they cannot process the claim as the packaging didnt follow UPS recommended guidelines, ie,

275 Burst Strength Box
Use a new, single-wall, corrugated shipping container with a 275-lbs-per-square-inch burst strength, or non-U.S. equivalent.

55 ECT Box
Use a new, single-wall, corrugated shipping container with a 55-lbs-per-inch edge crush test (ECT) strength, or non-U.S. equivalent.

Surely a wooden plank + 3cm thick high density foam is stronger than the suggested

And even though its suggested its not a requirement for the claim, the only thing that mentioned for a claim thats required was a signed receipt, 6 photos of the item before shipping, photos of the packaging material, actually alot of evidence, which i provided everything.

I also decided to reach out to Etsy as the item sold there
After spending 40 minutes on the phone to them
Etsy wont help because the item sold is above their seller protection threshold, anything above $250 they cannot help according to the person on the phone
They also require labels to be purchased through etsy for compensation
And they dont do labels for packages larger than roughly 80cm

So yeah im at a bit of a loss here, its a shame stuff like this happens

I honestly think this 1 to 1 scale sword I made gets way underlooked

Its a one of build that i wont be repeating, but im so proud of it

So...we were walking past Leister Square Theatre before our shoot and before Book of Mormon and...we saw Ricky Gervais name on a standing billboard...went up to the ticket booth, apparently he was going live in 10 minutes...there were tickets up for grabs...£17 quid each, i was shocked, his shows usually always sell out for hundreds, so we ended up seeing him before our shoot for an hour
