🎼 As part of the Year of Czech Music, the Smetana Trio will perform at the Piano Festival in Gothenburg on September 1, 2024. During the festival, adaptations of works by Czech greats such as Bedřich Smetana, Antonín Dvořák, and Josef Suk will be presented.

Nazareno Ferruggio is considered a refined Italian pianist. He graduated from Pierluigi Camicia’s class with full marks, honours and distinction at the Niccolo Piccini State Conservatorium of music in Bari. After completing a postgraduate course at the Musikhochschule Mannheim, Germany in Ragna Schirmer’s class, he finished his studies in the Musikhochschule Bern (Switzerland) with Rada Petkova. He also attended Masterclasses with prestigious teachers such as J. Achucarro, K. H. Kaemmerling and Jerome Lowenthal, J. Soriano, and O.Yablonskaya.
He has performed in all the continents of the world.
Lately did concerts tour in South Africa.
He debuted as a soloist with the Orchestra Sinfonica of Bari, performing Beethoven's Fantasy for choir and orchestra, conducted by Nicola Scardicchio. He has won eighteen first prizes in national and international competitions. In 2005, he won the prestigious IBLA International Competition Grand Prize[2] with best prize for Claude Debussy's pieces.
He had his American debut in 2006 at Carnegie Hall in New York and also performed concerts in Little Rock, Arkansas. In 2007, he received the Liszt Special Prize at the 8th Grieg International Piano Competition in Oslo, Norway. He also toured extensively in Indonesia, where he taught Masterclasses and performed recitals in Jakarta and Surabaya. In 2008, he had his Austrian debut at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria, and won a Rotary Scholarship at the Pianale Academy in Fulda, Germany. In 2009, he won first prize at the international piano competition ”Premio Valentino.” He was a semifinalist at the 15th Gina Bachauer Piano Competition, which ran from June 16 to July 1, 2010, in Salt Lake City.

Aisa Ijiri is Concert Pianist, Steinway Artist, Producer andArtistic Director of the Tokyo International Piano Association (TIPA) and the Montecatini International Piano Competition.

Following her sensational debut recitals at the Tokyo Opera City(2010), the Carnegie Hall in New York (2017) and the Royal Albert Hall in London (2021), Aisa has established herself as one of the award-winning concert pianists and has been described as, “a special talent whose European sophistication, fierce passion and poetic sentiment create an artistic atmosphere”- Record Geijutsu, Tokyo.

Born in Kyoto in Japan, Aisa made her European debut at the age of 15 as a concerto soloist at the Philharmonic Hall, Warsaw and as a recitalist at the Konserthuset, Stockholm. Since then, she has given regular recitals at many prestigious venues around the world including the Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, Fairfield Halls, St. John’s Smith Square, St. Martin-in-the-Fields in London, Kioi Hall (Tokyo), Izumi Hall (Osaka), Belgrade Philharmonic Hall, Kolarac (Belgarde), Palazzo Tornabuoni (Florence) and at international music festivals including Wimbledon International Music Festival, Three Choirs Festival, Lichfield Festival. Her concerts have been broadcast on Classic FM, BBC Radio 3, Radio Television of Serbia (RTS), Radio Beograd, N1 TV, PrvaTV and CNN Worldwide. Aisa was awarded a “Cultural Encouragement Award” by the Mayor of Shiga in Japan as the youngest ever winner.

As a concerto soloist, Aisa has performed piano concertos with the Osaka Century Symphony Orchestra (Conductor: Kentaro Kawase and Ken Hsieh), Orchestra Musica Celeste (Conductor: Yasuo Shinozaki), Orion Orchestra (Conductor: Toby Purser), Bushey Symphony Orchestra (Conductor: George Vass), Salonorchester Alt Wien (Conductor: Udo Zwölfer), La Filharmonie (Conductor: Nima Keshavarzi), Guildhall Symphony Orchestra with Sir George Benjamin among others. In 2019, she gave an acclaimed performance of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.5 'Emperor' with the Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Sachio Fujioka.

Aisa released her piano solo albums "Pilgrimage" and "Ailesd'amour", featuring the music of Chopin, Schumann, Liszt and Prokofiev on N.A.T Records, Tokyo and comtemporary piano albums “SAKURA” and “PRELUDES”, composed for her by Llywelyn ap Myrddin on WW Records, London. In 2019, Aisa performed as a soloist with the Prague Symphonic Ensemble for the world premiere of a new single ‘Until We Meet Again’ written by EMMY nominated Hollywood film composer Martin Tillman. In 2020, a piano solo piece ‘Aisa: Sand, Silk and Love’, written for her by Melanie Spanswick was published by Schott Music in the Schott Edition Series which led Spanswick to write an another atmospheric piece ‘Heiwa (Peace)’ for her, which recording was recently released on AUN J Classic Orchestra in Tokyo. Aisa is an official recording artist for ‘SPIRIO Catalogue’ by Steinway & Sons.
Aisa is a graduate of the Kungliga Musikhögskolan, Stockholm (Bachelor’s Degree), Guildhall School of Music & Drama (Master’s Degree) and the Royal College of Music, London (Artist Diploma) with distinction. In 2018, she was appointed Honorary Representative for the Royal College of Music, London.

Aisa is the Director of SigmArt Ltd based in London. She is also the international jury member of the Hastings International Piano Competition (U.K.), WPTA JAPAN, NOMEA (Italy), Samson François International Competition (France), Excellence Piano Award (Spain) and Steinway Piano Competition (Germany).

Martin Lysholm Jepsen
born in Copenhagen in 1966.
Martin Lysholm Jepsen graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus in
1992 after studies by professor Bengt Johnsson and Docent Aino Gliemann.
He continued as aspirant at the Lithuanian Academy of Music from 1992-1994 in
the class of Professor Veronika Vitaite. Martin took part in several masterclasses
and private lessons by Lazar Berman, Eugen Indjic and Günter Ludwig.
Martin Lysholm Jepsen gave numerous concerts in Denmark and abroad as soloist
and accompanist.
In 2001 he founded the Gradus Piano School in Aarhus for young piano talents.
At Gradus Martin educated some of the most promising danish pianists- among
them Emil Gryesten, Gustav Piekut, Kristian Riisager and Rune Leicht Lund.
His students were accepted for further professional studies at the estimeed
academies in Berlin,Vienna, Düsseldorf, Helsinki, Vilnius and at the Lake Como
Academy.
The Gradus students appeared succesfully in many concerts as soloists and with
orhestras in Denmark and abroad. They won more than 250 topprizes in national
and international competitions.
Since the summer 2016 Martin Lysholm Jepsen has been appointed as teacher at
the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus and he is director of the Junior College at
the same Academy.
Martin gave masterclasses and lectures on the theme ”Basic principles for building
a strong and healthy piano technique” in several countries and he is regularly in the
jury of competitions in Poland, Italy, Lithuania, Island, Russia and Denmark.
Martin Lysholm Jepsen was in board of EPTA-DK since 2000 and he is the founder
and artistic director of the Gradus International Piano Festival in Musikhuset
Aarhus, presenting young talents and master pianists annually since 2013.

Ålder 9-16 år

Åldern gäller den dagen finaltävlingen kommer att äga rum.
t.ex om du är 8 år och fyller 9 år precis på finaldagen räknas det som 9 år.
Men om du fyller 17 år på finaldagen gäller det inte. Så du borde vara 16 år på finaldagen.

Kategori A:
9-11 år
Semifinal: videoinspelning speltid: max 5 minuter
Final: På plats i G*teborg speltid: max 8 min

Kategori B:
12-13 år
Semifinal: videoinspelning speltid: max 8 minuter
Final: På plats i G*teborg speltid: max 10 minuter

Kategori C:
14-16 år
Semifinal: videoinspelning speltid: max 10 minuter
Final: På plats i G*teborg speltid: max 16 minuter

Inför semifinalomgången skickar du en videoinspelning (med bra kvalitet på ljud och bild) enligt kategorierna tidlängd.
Ett program ska visa ett varierat pianospel som visar olika karaktärer, musikalitet och teknik. Vi uppmuntrar att du spelar en tonsättare från Sverige eller från Tjeckien.

Resultatet av vilka som har gått vidare till final utses och du får svar via mejl senast 15 augusti 2024.
Finalomgången beräknas äga rum i början av september 2024.
