In the international business world where a lot of the meetings are held online, sometimes it is very needed and inspiring to meet in person.

Our team spent two days in Prague, discussing and planning the next steps to take our customer service, marketing & sales to the next level. We had very interesting and eye-opening talks, presentations and brainstorming that gave us many ideas to continue with. The best part of putting all these plans into action, is to be able to do it in our local teams in each Spedman country, with great team spirit and energy! 🙌

At the event, as one of the actions in taking things to a new level, Joakim Johannisson (in the image, middle row left) was appointed our new Group Commercial Director. Congratulations again, Joakim! 👏

As an international Family, it was great to spend some time together also outside the meeting room. Connecting, sharing and laughing together is an important part of building a stronger Family, and we had a great chance for that at our dinner. 🤜🤛 Thanks to our local hosts, we got to experience some local treats as well.

With the boost we got from this meeting, we have great things coming up in the near future and we are looking forward to showing You, our partners, how we can serve you faster and better!

Rasmus Didriksen is already our 7th Trainee at Spedman office in Århus, Denmark, forming part of our import family.

Rasmus’ apprenticeship is done in collaboration with Århus Business School. We offer a 2-year education, which is a combination of theory and practice. Rasmus is trained by our skilled and experienced team of employees, in all facets of transport. We ensure that our trainees are having the best start for their careers within logistics and freight forwarding. 🎓🌏

Last weekend, Spedman Global Logistics had the honor to support women’s football in Gothenburg, by sponsoring a game, Göteborgs FF – Qviding. Our Team Leader in sea import, Kajsa Flyckt, plays in the Gothenburg team, and with the great team effort and resilience, they won the game 4-2. 🤜🤛

We are all part of small local communities where we can choose to bring good and support each other. We are happy for this chance to support these women and encourage our communities to a healthy and active lifestyle. 🙌

This was indeed a joyful event with great energy! We wish Göteborgs FF a successful season ahead! ⚽😊

"Just a regular day at the office" - whale skeleton logistics 😄

Spedman Global Logistics team in Sweden got assigned this interesting project. The whale skeleton was to be transported from Sweden to Mauritius.

For safe transporting, the whale first had to be dismantled and placed into boxes. The boxes were custom made to withstand the moisture of the ocean transportation to ensure the skeleton wouldn't get damaged. The boxes were loaded into container and customs office inspected the container, to make sure all the necessary documents were issued.

The skeleton arrived in great condition to Port Louis. Our Team in Sweden nailed this one - we could feel it in our bones. 😉

Spedman Global Logistics in Finland had an honor to sponsor a junior ice hockey event in Finland on May 6-7. 🏒 🥅 This was a home tournament arranged by local Sipoon Wolf U10 team. We were honored to be the Game clock sponsor – being the sponsor for scheduling the tournament. 😊

This tournament was held to organize a fun and safe final tournament of the season 2022-2023. Organizing this tournament also had an important object to collect funds and make this sport activity less expensive hobby for these almost 30 wonderful local children.

When you see the excitement and great energy of those kids, you can be sure you are supporting a good cause. 🙌
We would also like to take the chance here to encourage all our partners and customers to sponsor these important children's activities via local sport teams. We can make a difference, even with small actions. 😊

Not all cargo comes in square boxes or standard sizes. Spedman can handle any Special Cargo with expertise and care - even when arranging dinosaur logistics. 😊 🦖

This project was handled in Finland, including a total of 65 items for the dinosaur exhibition.
These items had to be handled with special care as the items included skeletons, fossils and big reconstructed dinosaurs. The largest reconstruction, Brachiosaurus, was 15 meters high and 20 meters long.

Our MD in Helsinki, Antti Päätalo, personally took an active role in the process and overseeing the handling, together with T-Rex. 😉

Via our strong and flexible partner network we were able to arrange clean and stable warehousing conditions and transportation in short notice. Finding creative solutions is our type of expertise, and this was indeed a very exciting and successful project. Thank you to all the partners involved!

Today we celebrate the International Women’s Day. 😊
This day is not only to celebrate but also to encourage future female leaders and to give support and credit to women for their remarkable contributions.

We are lucky to have a big international group of capable and smart women at Spedman. 💪 Today we want to take the opportunity to bring some of our strong female leaders at Spedman into spotlight. Zora Radovancev, Loreta Dyburiene and Ida Vangen are all an important part of Spedman’s growth story!

An intensive but successful trip behind!
Last week I had a chance to attend the 12th Global Freight Forwarders Conference in Pattaya. Kudos to our partner JCtrans Network who enabled this great quality networking event; everything was very well set up. 👌

In the meetings, it is great to see how Spedman Global Logistics keeps on pleasantly surprising with the wide representation in Europe - not only in the Nordics but especially in the Adriatic countries and Central Eastern Europe.

💡 Btw, 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗱𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗻? This is another topic that came up a lot in our meetings in Pattaya. Before the year changes, we thought it would be a good time to thank all our customers and partners for the great co-operation and trust this year. Year 2022 has been an interesting and successful year for Spedman Global Logistics and we are beyond thankful for the great opportunities, support and collaboration.

One of our most memorable experiences this year was when we got the chance to operate the world’s largest Aircraft AN-255 Mriya in Billund Airport in Denmark, unloading aid supply for the Danish health authorities.

Another very exciting thing for us this year was adding another country to Spedman Global Logistics' geographical footprint in Budapest, Hungary. And the way things are developing, we might have more news like this for next year… 😉
