. DANCE DESCRIPTIONS
. Salsa - An energetic fun dance, with roots from Latin America. The focus on these classes are on Cuban Salsa. Cuban Salsa is danced on 1, meaning that you on the first count the leader takes a step forward and the follower a step backward. The couple rotate clockwise during the dance. There is big room for improvisation, which often leads to fun entangled patterns.
. Bachata - A sensual dance originally from the Dominican Republic. It has developed into several different styles and common traits are close partnerwork and smooth movements that fits the slower music.
. Salsa with Rueda - Originate from Cuba. This style of Salsa is danced in a circle with several couples. A caller choose the dance moves by shouting out the name of the move in Spanish and the rest of the group follow. Change of partners around the circle occur often. Many moves are theatrical and contains clapping, shouting and stamping, creating an hilarious atmosphere. An easy way to make new friends! NOTE: This course works fine as an introductory course to Salsa. Many of the moves works directly in ordinary couple Salsa.
. Ladystyling - A class where to have fun and only for the ladies, preferably with some dancing experience from previous semesters. The classes will focus on adding the little extra to the dancing and practice good techniques in how to follow the leader in partnerwork, spinning technique, music interpretation, footwork, styling and much more. There will be both technique and choreography in each class. This will take your dancing to a new level.

. The course fee is payed to our account (details come after registration) or by cash at the second lesson (please have even cash). Please come 20 min before the course start if you pay with cash.

. Do I need a partner to join?
- No, alone works perfectly fine!
. Do I need to be a student?
- For the courses at Kalmars Nation you need to be a student, but not for the ones at Sparta Sports hall.
. When does it all start?
- 18 September @ 18 PM @ Kalmars and 12 September @ 19:30 PM @ Sparta.
. May I stay with my partner during the course?
- During the lesson we will swap partners to get a broader learning. However, it is still possible to stay with your partner if desired except in the Salsa with Rueda course, since its most important element is to change partners.
