➡️ For what occasions you need false lashes? For special occasions, parties and other events where you will be applying more intense eyemakeup (think liner, sparkles, smokiness, etc), eyelashes will accentuate makeup, make it stand out in professional photos, as well bright and colorful lights like stage or party in a club. Let’s not forget photoshoots - camera tends to erase ~40% of makeup, so lashes will leave the nice black intensity on our lash line which might look washed out and bare with just mascara.

➡️Choose the right type of lashes:
• Strip lashes - classic model of volume lashes, pro: easy to apply and impressive effect and lift, con: can be heavy and uncomfortable especially with big volume styles, with tears and sweat may separate from the skin, so I wont recommend these styles for long events like wedding day. Good for photoshoots, stage makeup, theatre.
• Lash Clusters - think of strip lash cut in smaller segments, usually 3 lashes in one segment. Easy to apply, possible to adapt the style and volume for your eye shape which makes this type of lashes the best for applying at home, for light and fresh makeup look. Con: sometimes the corners of band will “poke” upwards and need to practice for that seamless transition in lashes.
• Individual Lashes - small clusters that are attached on directly on lash roots and not skin like other two styles. This type is most comfortable and seamless, you dont need to worry that lashes will separate and fall out during the day as pieces are glued on clean dry lashes, which makes the grip more secure, than skin that changes temperature and level of moisture depending on environment (or tears:). #1 style for brides on the wedding day, natural *no makeup* makeup looks, commercial photoshoots etc. This is definitely the most luxurious style yet also most complex in application if you do it yourself, so leave this job for me and book your appointment 📆

➡️ Is the glue safe? I use only Duo glue by , it doesn’t smell unlike many other brands and doesn’t irritate the eyes, easy to remove and even has a latex-free option if you are allergic!

YES or NO to lash extensions on your wedding day?!
Here is an honest answer from a makeup artist ⬇️

• Generally NO! Lash extensions often are in the way to fulfil exactly what is needed to be done for the makeup look brides choose - a delicate fine liner, filled space between lash roots, and the lift of the lash extensions may clash with the directions I blend eyeshadows.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
• FALSE LASH APPLICATION is included in all my bridal packages: comfortable individual lash clusters that are attached to your lash similar to extensions ,instead of strip lash, that can be uncomfortable and come off in corners. Lash clusters are totally seamless and incredibly safe. But best is - we can create a perfect set of lashes to suit your makeup look and eye shape!

• IF YOU STILL WANT TO HAVE EXTENSIONS: perhaps you are planning a honeymoon in the beach right after - come to makeup trial, we will create cluster lash set, take a lot of photos and ask the lash technician to create a hybrid style that matches the photo as close as possible.
OR lash extensions are a part of your routine already? Please come with your usual set of extensions and we will create makeup look accordingly. ❤️

• FOCUS on hydration - serum and cream is best primer for lifting makeup. You actually want your skin to stay a little sticky, so makeup products would melt together with skincare base - this will create a glowing, fresh skin finish!
• LOOK FOR THESE KEYWORDS on makeup products : glow, nourishing, lightweight, everyday, natural, light or medium coverage, bb cream/cc cream
• CHOOSE A SHADE that is same or little darker than your skin with neutral or warm undertone. A light tan effect will look much more youthful than pale skin!
• GO EASY with graphic DETAILS : strong brows or heavy black liner is something to stay away in lifting makeup. Do Featherly light strokes of a brush and pencil instead!
• DONT BE AFRAID to add more volume in naturally plump areas of face : go a little out of lip countour , make your cheeks fuller, brows fuller , as all these areas tend to shrink a little with age…

• look for inspiration photos that are similar color of your hair
• if you have short hair but inspiration photo has voluminous style: pick up natural hair clip-in extensions
• is the style appropriate for the event: boohoo bridal up-dos or half-ups might not be the best choice for a birthday party or Gala dinner.
•Think of the outfit you will wear: does it have open back and hair should be in an up-do to show a beautiful neck silhouette? Is the style of the dress matching the style of the inspiration photo?

This day was a total disaster 🤯⛔️

We planned this shoot for a month in advance, and when the day come, everything went wrong that possibly could!

Edith traveled in early morning hours from Göteborg to Stockholm (5hours) and SL of course messed up everyones schedules and was late. We lost more than an hour or precious time for glam..😱 next model had to rush to other part of Stockholm where photographer Yonna was already waiting. Rushing through rainy, snow-mud situation with a huge suitcase 🧳 of outfits just to figure out that AirBnb address doesnt match the googlemaps and the Apartment is not there! 🥲 I was late for my class but we fixed it and I was hoping that girls get back to me for a SECOND LOOK in time which left them so little time for photos… of course everything moved another hour behind as the 30.11.2023 was absolutely hating us! 😂 They run in the salon, weather messed up some of the eyemakeup and hair , but we have so little time for a RE-DO 😬⛔️

I do what I can, never in my life I had drawn so quick graphic liner as I did that day, quick bun on the top of the hair and she is good!! 👑 and they rushed off to another location….

Fast forward: Yonna sent us the photos and my jaw dropped.. there is no sign of the stress , the rush, the rain .. only beautiful feminine and sensual Edith, all the makeup is captured in perfect light, all the gemstones 💎 are sticking on skin where they should… 😍❤️

This just shows how a good teamwork and professional experience can fix ANY ISSUES and we will adapt and find solutions whatever comes our way!

MAKEUP DOESNT NEED TO BE HEAVY FOR A *WOW*TRANSFORMATION!☝️

When imagining professional makeup, most people always imagine intensive eye makeup, heavy lashes and a thick layer of foundation… but professional-luxury makeup experience more often than not means totally opposite!

👉 although many different products are being applied - LAYERS ARE THIN & products melt in the skin. There is no heavy feeling!

👉 While eyes are important, correct face & base makeup with flawless scultping makes the biggest difference in appearance, eye makeup with sparkles & colors is just an accessory to overall look.

👉 heavy striplashes are so 2010! As long as you are not specifically requesting them, up-to-date artists use individual cluster or segment lashes, which basically means a comfortable TAILORED lash set that blends with your natural lashes, wont feel heavy and without a risk of falling off in your important night!

👉 trends are changing: 5-10 years ago we artists used to draw on faces like on canvas with heavy pigmented shadows, thick, graphic lines, the more glitter the better…basically repainting the face totally! Modern makeup artistry means showcasing your natural beauty, making your skin, eyes, lips look pampered, healthy, add a spark to your true self instead of creating a brand new persona.🎭

ALWAYS REMEMBER: makeup is an accesory, it should make your glow and feel confident, exactly the same way a beautiful dress would! 🫶🏻
