Happy St Brigid's Day🌷 Yesterday, Embassy Stockholm marked St Brigid's Day with a reflection and celebration of women in design and the power of art in social transformation, the spirit of which is encapsulated in the tapestry ‘Ascension’ (see the comments section for photos from the event 📸). A warm thank you to designer Alison Conneely and anthropologist Sara O'Rourke for their inspiring insights! EU Christmas Concert 2023 - Stockholm

Yeats himself described the honour as being bestowed on him “less as an individual than as a representative of Irish literature, it is part of Europe’s welcome to the Free State”. Last week, we were stopped in our tracks when seeing W.B. Yeats’ words projected on Stadshuset, the building that made such a deep impression on him. The Nobel Week Lights artwork "History in Light" celebrated the 100-year-old Stockholm City Hall and the contributions that were awarded the Nobel Prize in 1923 🏅
