It's actually such a strange thing to be at an art market, surrounded by so many cool artists, and to be promoting your own art. But when I looked at the pictures from the market, I just thought, wow, that's a weird experience. Because when I'm there, I'm just in my art, in the moment. I think it is the same for other creatives. You live so much in your own universe that sometimes you forget that you are exposing yourself and your art. But even if it is strange, I feel so grateful for the energy that comes from gathering around art and creativity.

Sometimes I ask myself, why didn't I finish art school? Why have I been so ambivalent about social media, deleting my Instagram page several times and having to start all over again? Why is it so hard for me to call myself an artist when that's what everyone else has seen me as since I was a kid? Why can't my mind make up its mind?

A few years ago I asked my mother, "Does everyone's soul chafe?" She said no. I did not believe her. Now the psychiatrist says that this 'chafing' is ADHD.
I keep asking myself, would I have been able to keep a direction in life if I had known this earlier? Would I have been a more successful artist? Or more of a successful something else?

I really believe that everything works out the way it is supposed to. One thing I've always been sure of is that I want to be an 'old wise lady' and maybe I can't be that if life is too easy. And maybe I wouldn't have been such a free spirit as a child if I'd known I had a 'diagnosis'. So I guess I have to stay on this weird road. Because I will not trade becoming a wise old lady for the straightest path in the world.
