We’ve had an eventful week in Kuala Lumpur, hosting the Southeast Asia (SEA) Partners Summit and SEA User Meeting, and wrapping it up with our exhibition and Lunch Symposium at ESTRO Meets Asia.

Some highlights for us include the opportunity to bring together diverse cultures at our User Meeting, sharing the company’s vision for Adaptive Radiation Therapy and hearing from customers how Elekta’s solutions—from brachytherapy to software and MRgRT—have enabled the personalization of cancer care across all treatment modalities.

Today we received a USD 64M order from Hospital Angeles Health System, the largest private healthcare service provider in Mexico. This order signifies the health system’s commitment to addressing the country’s cancer burden by providing patients access to Elekta’s advanced radiation therapy solutions.

This week, we had the honor of accompanying Datuk Seri Zambry Abd Kadir, the Malaysian Minister of Higher Education, on a visit to Institut Perubatan dan Pergigian Termaju, Universiti Sains Malaysia where he learned about their radiotherapy services.

During the visit, Elekta's Head of Marketing for Asia Pacific & Japan, Yohei Watanabe, recognized the hospital as a leading BrachyAcademy site and Paul Lee, Head of the Brachytherapy Business Line for Asia Pacific & Japan, presented a research grant to explore the potential of oral tongue brachytherapy.

We'd like to thank Dr. Yusri Musa, Lecturer and Otorhinolaryngologist/Head & Neck Cancer Specialist and Associate Professor Gokula Appalanaido, Head of Radiation Oncology, for the visit and their clinical partnership.

To encourage work-life harmony and well-being among employees, Elekta kicked off a company-wide initiative, the Pink Ribbon Challenge, in January. Supporting the Elekta Foundation, the challenge has had employees lacing up their running shoes and embracing the spirit of camaraderie all over the globe. This week, our President and CEO, Gustaf Salford, was part of a Swedish delegation that made a visit to Kiev to discuss how strengthening business and trade ties could bolster Ukrainian society. During the visit, Gustaf presented to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and other government officials about how the 15 recently-ordered Elekta Harmony linacs will help improve radiotherapy access for the almost one million people living with cancer in the country.

Seeking to achieve data security and cost predictability, Centre Haute Énergie - Nice (CHE), was the first in France to move to Elekta Axis Cloud.

For years, Stewart O'Callaghan sought LGBTIQ+ cancer support only to be met with uncertain replies.
