To honour swimmer, Debbie Ong’s bravery and realistic perception of herself.

When I first met Debbie, I was not in the known of such cancer and the amputation of a limb.

Presented with her condition, it really trigger my passion to note her abilities and limitation.
A motivating situation, to coach her to be comfortable in an aquatic environment and to build strength in her core and limbs to perform.

An added on value is her personality, willingness to learn and *bravery* for a child who has gone through a tough physical ordeal;
Yet still maintain such an awesome attitude to reality.

Kudos to Mr Ong and his family’s love and positivity, your willingness to be open allow Debbie to be an inspiration to others.

This inspiration teaches people to be aware about life, being brave and reaching out for help and support when they need it.
Such sharing saves lives!

Singapore Aquatics launched the Hands Up For Safe Aquatics campaign at Futures Swim Meet (for swimmers aged seven to 12) at the OCBC Aquatic Centre.

Aquarian swimmer, Ardi participated in the launch.
An important responsibility towards athletes.
