Our student did so well in her math test without a --- 🤯

✨Story time✨

Like most students, Student H had all her stationery and calculator prepared, ready to sit for the math test. However, her calculator was missing the official sticker which approved it for use - despite being an approved model. Hence, the invigilator disallowed her from using the calculator for the exam.

In spite of this stressful situation and handicap, Student H put aside any signs of panic and powered through the test without having a calculator. In the final 15 minutes of the test, she was allowed to have her calculator back as another teacher confirmed that it was an approved model.

We were shocked to hear her story - as she still scored 26/30 for the test!🤯

In the other math paper, she scored an even better 29/30 marks (with a calculator)!

We are so impressed with Student H's never-give-up attitude and impressive performance!

You don't have to follow the crowd when it comes to how you study. The best time to study differs from person to person - so, YOU DO YOU!

The key to studying at the right time is understanding your own productivity. You mind may be better 'wired' for certain activities at different times of the day.

That means you may find it easier to absorb and learn new information in the morning, but you may find it easier to do problem-solving tasks in the evening.

Getting into a study routine also helps your brain get used to studying at a particular time of the day.

Parents need to know this...!

You CAN be involved in your child's education without being a professional educator yourself!

It's true that many parents are busy with their own jobs and caring for the physical needs of their child(ren). Not all parents have the ability to coach their own child in academics.

But when you send your child to a tuition centre, please know that you can still be involved by following up with the tutor. At Future Academy, we regularly send parents updates about their child's progress, including feedback and reviews of their child's tests and exams from school.

The purpose is so that you can understand your child better and encourage them to follow up during their revision at home.
