Today is World Mental Health Day! Thought of sharing my personal dance movement therapy practice that has nurtured me for a long time other than yoga & meditation. What I love about dance movement therapy is that I can express my emotions through movement, put my logical brain aside and just move. When I move without any judgement, I embrace all parts of me. Acceptance builds resilience. Mindfulness is not about just peace & quiet. It is about acknowledging what I feel and be friend with it, it takes courage and time, and it is totally okay. This is a process. It is only when we can accept ourselves completely, we reconnect to the inner joy & strength within us. Parents & kids, how would you like to move today? ππ
