Charge+ Thailand is thrilled to announce our partnership with Ch.Pattana (ช.พัฒนา), the largest electric taxi operator in Thailand, with the signing between Ch.Pattana CEO Mr. Karoon Kijkunasatien and Charge+ CEO Chee Kiong Goh. With 200 electric taxis today, Ch.Pattana is expanding its electric fleet rapidly. Charge+ and Ch.Pattana will partner each other to develop a comprehensive fast charging network in Thailand to support this fleet.

Charge+ Thailand is excited to launch the EV charger at PLUS 67 condo in Bangkok, allowing its residents to charge conveniently at their doorstep. With more than 200 condos in South East Asia, we will continue to proliferate EV chargers to more condos and enable drivers to electrify their cars with a peace of mind.

Charge+ COO Xiao Han Koh spoke on the panel “The 2030 Green Plan 2030: The shift to greener commutes” organised by GB Helios. Together with moderator, Alex Chua and panel members Kelvin Lim, Mark Tan and Sangkil Woo, she shared how Charge+ is enabling electrification in Singapore and the region with our fast growing EV charging network. As the largest EV charge point operator in Singapore, EV drivers can easily charge overnight at their residential carparks or turbocharge at a mall.

Charge+ has announced our exclusive partnership with GetGo Carsharing, Singapore’s largest carsharing platform, to serve the condominium market. This will enhance EV accessibility for Singapore’s condo residents by introducing GetGo’s EVs along with Charge+’s EV charging infrastructure, giving them access to an eco-friendly transportation alternative right at their doorstep. We aim to provide 100 condominiums with combined shared EVs and EV charging points by 2025.

GetGo and Charge+ will leverage our expertise in vehicle fleet management and charging point installation. This partnership also provides a stronger incentive for condominiums to implement EV charging stations, to not only serve the growing EV driver population in condos but also provide on-demand access to GetGo’s carsharing EVs.

Charge+ is thrilled to announce our partnership with Porsche to develop a 1,700km EV charging network in Vietnam that connects Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. This initiative comprises 17 ultra-fast DC charging sites (up to 180kW power) over the next three years. The first nine sites will be ready by the first half of 2025, in key cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong and Da Nang, with the remaining eight sites in 2027. The two existing high-performance charging sites at Porsche Studio Hanoi and Porsche Centre Saigon will also be integrated into the Charge+ app.

This network marks a significant milestone for Vietnamese EV charging infrastructure, facilitating seamless and efficient journeys for EV drivers throughout the country. And it forms a critical part of Charge+’s ongoing implementation of an EV charging highway that spans 5,000km across five Southeast Asia countries, namely Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam, the longest EV charging backbone in the region.

Charge+ marks a key milestone in Indonesia with the launch of our DC charging hub in Bali to serve Bluebird electric taxis, as witnessed by Adrianto Andre Djokosoetono, Director of Bluebird and Darmawan Utomo, Commissioner of Utomo Chargeplus. Bluebird, the largest taxi operator in Indonesia, has embarked on a major electrification programme in Bali and we are glad this site will be the most important charging hub to enable the success of Bluebird in Bali. Exciting news from Charge+! The Largest EV Charging Cluster in Iskandar Puteri, Johor is now at Teega development at Puteri Harbour! Charge+ is excited to announce our roaming partnership with ChargeSini EV Charging from Malaysia, thereby bringing together the largest EV charging operators from both sides of the causeway. Our combined charging network will reach 4,000 charging points by end of 2024, making it the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia. This roaming partnership will enhance the convenience of cross-border EV charging in both countries and increase the confidence of EV drivers in long-distance driving.

This will synergise with Charge+’s ongoing implementation of an EV charging highway that spans 5,000km across five Southeast Asia countries, namely Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam, the longest EV charging backbone in the region. Charge+ had also earlier announced roaming partnerships with several key EV charging players in the region, namely Thailand’s Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), Malaysia’s Tenaga Nasional Berhard (TNB) and Indonesia’s Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN). This announcement with ChargeSini represents another major milestone in enhancing the cross-border charging experience in Southeast Asia and will help address the longstanding concern of prospective EV buyers about the inconvenient signing-up process with multiple mobile apps.

Minister for National Development Desmond Lee officiated the launch of Charge+ EV charging station at the HDB surface carpark of Block 728, West Coast. While surface carparks are technically challenging to implement EV chargers due to many underground services and insufficient power supply, Charge+ is pleased to have expanded our EV-ready HDB surface carparks to about 40 today. This will help to spur EV adoption in our relatively more mature housing estates where surface carparks are dominant.

Charge+ CEO Goh Chee Kiong was on radio on Monday with Kiss92 presenters of the Big Show, Glenn Ong, The Flying Dutchman and Angelique Nicolette Teo to talk about how EV charging is crucial in spurring EV adoption in Singapore.

Chee Kiong shared on the strategic alliance between Charge+, the largest EV charging operator in Singapore with 1,500 charging points and counting, and BYD which became the largest EV seller in Singapore last year. We also touched on the need for social etiquette in the usage of EV chargers and how we need to continue to encourage condos to take up EV chargers.
