Singles have typically borne the brunt of policies when it comes to HDB policies, with more constraints limiting their HDB purchases, as compared to heterosexual couples.

However, with Sunday’s announcement at the NDR, singles can now apply for flat all across the island in the near future, and are no longer bound by the limitations of “mature-only estates”.
