Have you been to an eatery and everything looks so good that you just want to have it all? This was what happened when I visited .1983!🎉⁣

After ordering their must-try old-school curry chicken, I was captivated by the tempting sight of the thick, fleshy BBQ squid, so I promptly added it to my order. As if that wasn’t enough, the irresistibly umami-packed otah was also calling out to me, leaving me with no choice but to include it in my lunch along with three veggie sides. 😆⁣

Uncle still runs the kitchen, preparing everything from scratch with heart and soul. Each bite was a nostalgic delight and truly satisfying. ❤️⁣

Thanks for dropping by! Reposted from : Delicious Nasi Padang Lunch! Butterfly pea rice added a pop of color to my delicious lunch. The BBQ chicken was well marinated and juicy, and the Otak-Otak was nice and thick. With such a wide variety of dishes, this is a great option for any taste.

Reposted from Today’s lunch! Hearty Chinese style Nasi Padang from .1983! Love the grilled and fried chicken! 😋

Sedap sets we tried:
1. Grilled chicken with 1 egg and 1 veg $5.50
2. Fried chicken with 2 veg and 1 otak $10 (we were wondering why with just 1 extra side, this was much more ex than grilled chicken 😅)
3. Grilled fish with 1 egg and 1 veg $8

First time there and I was slightly confused at the ordering process/prices.

Fried fish with 2 sides $10
Fish was really fresh, sides were good!!
Grilled chicken with 2 sides $5.50
Marination of chicken was spot on.

⭐️4/5

Definitely would head back there again, and it's super near to our place!!

P.s please head down earlier for more dishes, we went around 12 on a Sunday and most of the ingredients were sold out

Finally made it down here for a delicious Nasi Padang breakfast at this long standing Nasi Padang Brand since 1983. Located in a coffeeshop at 22 Sin Ming Road, Serangoon BBQ & Curry opened in this location back in March 2021 and we love the wide variety of 20-odd dishes where the fried chicken and grilled fish are must try items for us along with the butterfly pea rice!
