Happy Diwali to our friends, family and to those celebrating this joyous festival!

A distinct aroma of coconut milk accompanied this bowl of Lontong. The rice cakes are cut up into bite-sized pieces bathed in a spicy coconut vegetable stew without being too rich or heavy and topped with a dollop of sambal, a heap of serunding, and hard-boiled egg.

The serunding and sambal cranked the dish up a few notches that soaked up all the goodness in the bowl!

The heart of every Mee Soto is the rich, light chicken broth. The springy yellow noodles are enveloped in a tangy chicken broth with a kick of chili kicap, which packs a deeper spice flavour and a sharper sting. The typical garnishes are a collective variation of blanched beansprouts, parsley, crunchy fried shallot, and fried begedil.

A hot, piping bowl of soup makes you slurp everything up to the last drop!

So, what goes into a tasty plate of nasi lemak?

Well, first is the coconut rice served with a side of fried egg, anchovies, peanuts, cucumber and sambal; and crispy rempah fried chicken wing.

The scrumptious thick gravy coated the springy yellow noodles with a pleasant sweet-nutty taste with lots of flavors from savory and sweet to spicy that will hit you lightly at the back of your throat.

The Mee Rebus is topped with boiled egg, beansprouts, bawang goreng, diced tofu, green chili, and celery. And don't forget to complete the dish with a squeeze of lime!
