Happy Mid Autumn Festival, everyone!

“雨”, "Ame", The Rain.
A RARE iteration of a Tanto with a Shobu-Zukuri Blade Profile (Without a Yokote towards the tip). With a hand-engraved dragon on the blade, hadori polish to bring out the hamon, and with artificially aged bronze fittings. Made from T12 Steel, a premium type of High Carbon Steel, able to take on a fine edge and staying sharp for a long time.
Rain is often seen as a symbol of purification, washing away impurities and bringing new life. This aligns with Shinto beliefs, where natural elements like water are considered sacred and purifying.
As rain is essential for crops and nature to flourish, it symbolises growth, prosperity, and the nurturing of life. It can be linked to blessings from the kami (Shinto deities) and the earth.
The concept of mono no aware, which roughly translates to "admiring the fleeting beauty of life", is often associated with rain. It enhances the ephemeral beauty of things, much like cherry blossoms that bloom and fall in a short span. Kinda bittersweet but it's quite beautiful, no? 🥹

A Tang (Dao) Sword, 唐刀.
Sleek lines with bronze fittings and high quality ebony wood for its handle and scabbard. Made from folded 1095 High Carbon Steel paired with a nice hamon running along the edge for an even better edge retention. Not to mention that it also has a robust tanto tip for an even tougher blade. Low profile blade with menacing specs.
It will look incredible just sitting on its own on your wall with a light source just gently illuminating it. Close your eyes, imagine it.
This is a statement piece through and through, tastefully done.

Handmade Dab Thai By a maker from Pattaya, Thailand. Adorned with Hand Engraved emblems of a Phra Khrut Pha and Hand Engraved Yants on both sides of the scabbard. Blessed by the monks before it got shipped over to us. Please read on for more details 🙏🏼
One of the key stories in Thai folklore featuring Phra Khrut Pha is his battle with the Nagas. Garuda's enmity with Nagas originates from a conflict between his mother and the Nagas, resulting in Garuda seeking revenge to free his mother from servitude. Through courage and divine support, Garuda defeats the Nagas, symbolizing the triumph of order over chaos.
This battle is often depicted in Thai art, particularly in temples, where Garuda is seen holding or subduing Nagas. It signifies the protection of sacred spaces from evil and impure forces, with Garuda acting as the guardian of both the physical and spiritual realms.
Garuda is revered in Thailand. In Buddhist temples, he is often seen as a Guardian, watching over sacred spaces and protecting them from evil spirits. His association with the Buddhist doctrine of compassion and wisdom is another layer of his cultural significance.
Thus, Garuda in Thailand symbolizes not only power and kingship but also protection, wisdom, and the triumph of good over evil, making him a deeply revered figure in the country’s rich cultural tapestry.
Now, you would be able to display a blade that is so true to its respective culture in your home or office!

Handmade dagger out of Thailand with Brass and Copper fittings, made from high carbon steel. By B.T Koniao
Even though this blade may look relatively pedestrian, but the silhouette is still sexy as f***. Symmetry is always something that many of us find attractive, whether if it is on facial features, or human bodies in general, inanimate objects like TVs, apparels , or cars (they move, yes, but still technically without a life😂). And in this instance, blades.
Handground blades are ALWAYS notorious for having a certain levels of asymmetries to them but this dagger has little to NONE of that. One thing is for sure, these photos do not do our blades justice, if you are interested in checking it out in person, just hit us up and book an appointment! I shall leave y'all beautiful people be, have an awesome weekend and see you soon! Read on for more details!

In Thailand, Hanuman is a prominent figure in the Ramakien, which is the Thai adaptation of the Indian Ramayana. While the core story remains similar, Hanuman in Thai culture takes on unique traits. He is depicted as a brave and mischievous white monkey warrior with a playful personality and is often seen as a symbol of courage and loyalty.
In the Ramakien, Hanuman serves Prince Rama (Phra Ram) in his quest to rescue his wife, Sita (Nang Sida), from the demon king Tosakanth (Ravana). Hanuman's feats, like growing in size, flying, and his clever tricks, are crucial to Rama's victory. In the Thai version, Hanuman is also portrayed as a romantic figure, with various love interests, which adds a unique dimension to his character. He is celebrated in traditional Thai dance, theater, and art.

"月読", "Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto", "God of the Moon"
Made from Folded T10, with Hazuya Polish applied to accentuate the folded lines of the blade. With a rayskin-wrapped scabbard, handfinished gilting done on the fittings. This is one heavy hitter guys.
Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto is a moon deity in Shinto mythology and one of the children of the primordial deities Izanagi and Izanami. The story of Tsukuyomi is relatively simple compared to other mythological tales, but it holds significant importance in Japanese religious tradition.
According to Shinto mythology, Tsukuyomi was born from Izanagi when he washed his right eye during a purification ritual. This occurred after Izanagi returned from the underworld, Yomi, where he had attempted to rescue his wife, Izanami, who had died during childbirth. As a result of the purification, three significant deities were born: Amaterasu, the sun goddess, from his left eye; Tsukuyomi, the moon god, from his right eye, and Susanoo, the storm god, from his nose.
One of the few stories involving Tsukuyomi concerns his conflict with Amaterasu, his sister and the sun goddess. In this story, Amaterasu sent Tsukuyomi as her representative to attend a feast hosted by Uke Mochi, the goddess of food.
During the feast, Uke Mochi began preparing food in a rather bizarre manner. She turned toward the land, sea, and sky, and food emerged from her mouth, nose, and other parts of her body. Tsukuyomi was so disgusted by this that he killed Uke Mochi on the spot.
This is merely one of the stories that is about this deity tho, if you're interested in finding out more about this blade, hit us up! 😎

Made from Lek Nam Phi's Iron aka "Magic Steel".
Bo Lek Nam Phi or Nam Phi iron well, was historically the best source of top-grade steel, called Lek Nam Phi, used to forge swords and other weapons in ancient eras. Two sources or "wells" are still open to this day, and are the sources of the ONLY metal used to fashion weapons for Thai kings.
The ONLY establishment in Singapore where you could get authentic handmade Thai blades. We are more than a retailer, we are knifeknuts that live and breathe knives🤪

Daab Khru by Boon Sla Tan Keowsamerjai
If you have been following us, you'd know that the demand for traditional blacksmithing has been decreasing as mass-produced goods became more available, and modern machinery replaced hand-forged tools and weapons. Despite this situation, the smiths that we have been working with are still working hard to put out more blades for us all.
Still keeping the forges fired up, keeping the legacies alive, still working hard to pass on the knowledge to the younger folks. These twin swords were forged by one of the most prominent sword makers in the northern part of Thailand, Nakhon Lampang (Boon Sla Tan Keowsamerjai) due to the traditional methods that they employ, the numbers of blades that could be put out annually are incredibly low.
It's really a "iykyk"/"if you know, you know" type of thing we're talking about here. But hey, we're still on the mission to spread the good word about these artisans! If you would like to learn more about these thai blades, you know what to do!

By Boon Sla Tan Keowsamerjai, handmade/assembled/finished in Thailand.
The origins of the Thai daab are intertwined with the broader history of Southeast Asian warfare and martial arts. Swords similar to the daab were used by various kingdoms in the region, such as the Khmer Empire and the Kingdom of Ayutthaya, which spanned from the 14th to the 18th century. Early Thai daabs were influenced by the weapons of neighboring cultures, including the Chinese dao (single-edged sword) and the Indian talwar.
The daab typically features a long, single-edged blade with a slight curve, making it ideal for slashing and cutting. The handle, which is often long enough for two-handed use, may be wrapped in cord or rattan. The guard is usually minimal or absent, reflecting its use in fast, flowing combat.
During the Sukhothai period, the Thai sword began to take on a distinct form, with greater attention to craftsmanship and design. By the time of the Ayutthaya Kingdom, the daab became a symbol of the warrior class, often used by soldiers and nobility. The Ayutthaya era saw the daab being used in various forms of martial arts, including Krabi-Krabong, a traditional Thai weapon-based martial art that still exists today.
In northern Thailand, the Lanna Kingdom (13th to 18th centuries) developed its own variations of the daab. Lanna daabs are often shorter and more curved than those found in central Thailand, with intricate designs influenced by Burmese and Shan cultures.
The daab is often presented as a gift or award in recognition of achievements or as a symbol of respect. Its legacy as a weapon of the Thai warriors makes it a powerful symbol of honor.

Been a good long while since we posted anything that is thai related! This is one of the more popular iterations of our handmade thai swords. A manageable 71cm, blade measuring at 37cm, nicely balanced in the mid part of the sword.
Made from SUP9 steel, with a tough convex edge behind this blade, if y'all know how tough how convex edges are. You probably know why it's the preferred edge profile by many smiths.
Speaking from personal experience, this type of steel is surprisingly corrosion resistant. On paper, it shouldn't be this rust resistant, but it is! Again, we are stating this from what we've experienced. Perfect for Singapore's high levels of humidity. If y'all have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us for more details, 98999959 is the number where you could do that😎

"山の波", "Yama no nami", Mountainous Waves.
With buffalo horn fittings on the scabbard, made from T10, with rayskin-like patterns on the scabbard. Motifs of this blade, symbolising Life, Tranquility, Changes on one end of the spectrum, and on the other end, representing Ferocity and Resilience.
In another culture, by a martial artist that we all know and love, Bruce Lee.
Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

If you'd like to pair it up with another blade that is with the dragon motif, we'd be able to help you make that happen too!
