Painting just half part of the leaf..

I think what you planted with your own hands, will always taste the sweetest, agree? I harvested this from the guava shrub I planted in my new studio garden. It didn’t fail, though the fruit were few, we really savour every bit of it. Sweet, creamy and the best guava I ever tasted. Life is pretty amazing… tbh I ve never grown anything in my life. I needed to prove a miracle . So I spoke to them a bit 😁..I think I score well with this yummy guava 😉😉

Hello! It has been sometime that we chatted. In this square today, I like to just say hello to both my existing and new friends… and thank you for your continued support… I ve much to be grateful for. So hello everyone, I m Sarah, your flower teacher, I have been here in this flower world for more then 20 years. In the beginning, I plunged unhesitatingly into this world of flowers and this passion has been flowing through my life. When I entered into this industry, all I have was my enthusiasm and the energy.. as I progresses, I discovered that to excel you will need more; what count are inspirations & experience. So I take every opportunity to teach myself and get inspired. Life in the world of flowers ( or a matter of fact, in life), I often finds myself faced with the same problems and situations, and seeing these returns, I have instances to grow depress too, cos I have been through all before but yet to go beyond it. And I realise that these repeated experiences have only one aim, to teach us what we did not want to learn. And I like to just share here a passage from John Bunyan : “Although I have been through all that I have, I do not regret the many hardships I met, because it was they who brought me to the place I wished to reach” The future has become the present and every dream will have a chance to be heard😉 Just like my yesteryears, I did not wait for the ideal moment, if I did, it will never happen. I took a touch of madness and leap to my dream, for I know in both love and life, it is impossible to foresee everything. I learnt that I must always carry these 3 things with me and I wish for you to pick these up too to propel your dreams forward. These are : faith, hope and love Love to hear your thoughts too. I ve been feeling a sense of tiredness recently ( maybe she is finally catching up 🙈) or maybe I just needed a brand new challenge in my life, or maybe I just need a holiday break (again haha)

But I found this sense of calmness this morning while I painted this orchid…

I love to use art procedures to calm the mind. ...
Use creativity and imagination to gain contact with my inner child. ...

And indeed use artistic journaling as an outlet to whatever might be draining you … come on, let’s paint !!

This special pink shade of the chrysanthemum at first created doubts in me. However, after picking up the brush and I started blending it, gives me much satisfaction.

What you believe about yourself sets the ceiling for your experience… whether you prefer a philosophical or spiritual or mere hands on approach … when creating with flowers , just make it for me personally. Mindset matters seriously.

A flower spread

Have always been loving cosmos. Recently was looking up for a friend’s October’s birth flower and realised it is the lovely Cosmos!

a symbol of order, peace, and serenity.

The name Cosmos comes from the Greek kosmos, meaning order, harmony, or the world.

Just painting a flower in my favourite orange colour. I believe the colour orange is fresh and gives constructive energy. And this is best colour to pick me up in this mid week.

This class is open to anyone who loves flowers, from aspiring to experienced florists; learners of all skill levels in floristry.

In this 2.5hrs class, Sarah will be imparting you on how to recreate her amazing “dancing” floral centrepiece. You will also learn how Sarah designs - from selecting seasonal flowers to creating naturalistic centrepieces using sustainable 'foam-free' techniques.

What you will learn:

- How to make a beautiful natural Table Centrepiece

- How to arrange flowers using a foam free approach

- How to balance stems of flowers & leaves using foam free medium

- How to work with colours to create

- Learn how to control keep your arrangement in the correct temperature and make the vase life last

- Style your centrepiece onto your space

At the end of the class, bring home your own centrepiece to impress your family.
