A few months ago, I told Mummy Mary NOT to cook anymore and just relax at home cos she really do not need to cook to earn a living!!
But I know her pattern, she love to continue to cook and hear from people who appreciate her food which bring lots of satisfaction and smiles into her life...and so I agreed but on the condition that we only sell out 100 bowls and 150 fritters per day..
And everyone been asking WHY? (*𝑇𝑟𝑦 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑐𝑜𝑜𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑖𝑛 𝑓𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑡 𝑜𝑓 3 𝐻𝑂𝑇 𝑝𝑜𝑡𝑠 𝑓𝑜𝑟 5ℎ𝑟𝑠) Or even scolding us when it's SOLD OUT before 11am these few days and they made a waste trip :( (𝑤𝑒 𝑑𝑖𝑑𝑛'𝑡 𝑒𝑥𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑡 𝑡𝑜 𝑔𝑒𝑡 𝑓𝑒𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑖𝑛 8𝐷𝑎𝑦𝑠) and some comment $2 so EXPENSIVE??
The reason can be summarised in the picture and I hope everyone take a second to understand what you paying for when you buy a bowl of kanchiamee next time :)
I hope my Mummy Mary's dream of leaving a legacy for this dish can be achieved even when one day she can no longer cook and that's why I came into the picture by officially branding her stall, design the logo, set up social media account, take photos and video for her for memories and helping her at the stall whenever I can...
Rest assured that every single $2 you paid to Mummy Mary goes to her entirely and if you're still curious about who am I and what I actually do? Do check out LifeSparks Studio
Thank you for your support and I look forward to serving you a warm bowl of in your next visit :)

KanChiaMee - This dish was named after rickshaw/trishaw pullers who ate them throughout the day to fuel themselves as they plied their routes pulling their rickshaws. It was then the cheapest dish they could afford. It was also said to be the staple of the poor in the early days of Singapore.
