Each page features a signature dish & which hawker stall is popularly associated with it. Each hawker stall & dish comes with a story. Every story comes with a gorgeous line drawing by Koh Hong Teng. So… it has been a long 32 months of working-from-home… and this week, we are back in office for the new “hybrid work arrangement” (alternate week for office and home).
To say the past years was a challenging period would be an understatement, but we are all thankful for today and looking forward to better days ahead.
So, cheers and drink up!
Now, go back to work!! 😂

P.S. Oh… and someone rescued a fallen bird to join the team. New norm indeed.

Posted • PM Lee described hawker centres as the nation's “community dining rooms” and has said that preserving hawker culture “will help to safeguard and promote this unique culture for future generations”, while also letting “the rest of the world know about our local food and multicultural heritage”.

Mr Edwin Tong, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, remarks that "Singapore's hawker culture is a source of pride for Singapore and all Singaporeans. It reflects our living heritage and multiculturalism, and is an integral part of the daily lives of everyone in Singapore regardless of age, race or background..."
