The Stripping of the Altar // Maundy Thursday The Stripping of the Altar is a traditional liturgical act and symbol of the humiliation and the barrenness of the Cross. It reminds us and points to Jesus, who on the night of his betrayal stripped off his woven tunic and tied a towel around his waist for an act of service to His disciples; and it reminds us of the Cross, where Christ was stripped of his clothes and left to die on the Cross for our sins. Our Maundy Thursday service ends with the starkness of the empty, bare altar in front of us. And likewise, in this Holy weekend, may we learn to strip our souls bare and come humbly before the Cross in repentance & confession, but yet realising what will meet us there is forgiveness, mercy and grace.
“Our Light Has Come” by Zoe Lee (Christmas 2021)
If you managed to attend one of our evening programs this Christmas Weekend, you would have heard this beautiful song written by one of our own, specially for this season.
“Our Light Has Come” was written and sung by Zoe Lee. It speaks of the Hope we have in Christ, and how Jesus brings a new day for us with His Light.
Tickets still available for tonight’s program

We also had the GREATEST privilege and blessing to witness the baptism of 19 of our brothers and sisters in Christ this afternoon at our Christmas Eve Service. We celebrate everything that God is doing in their lives, and believe the best is yet to come for them!
OUR LIGHT HAS COME We launched our Advent theme for this year - "Our Light Has Come". The story of Christmas is the story of Christ our Light breaking into our darkness, and bringing hope and joy and peace into our world. Jesus says in John 12:46 that “I have come into this world as LIGHT, so that whoever believes in me will not remain in darkness.” And so this advent season, in our sermon series, we are going to explore the theme of Christ as our Light; and also hear His challenge for us to then carry His light into the world. We will also be launching 2 key initiatives in line with our WIDER theme for the year. So stay tuned for more info to come!

Let's Build Our Future Together! We're glad and thankful for God's faithfulness over TMC for the past 65 years. We see the fingerprints of His grace all over every chapter of our story. And we're thankful for the many who have given much to build the Church to where it is today. The past year and a half has been challenging for us all, with the pandemic causing us to have to "let go" of the way we're so used to doing things. But yet, God is still good, and we've seen so many new opportunities birth forth in the midst of these limitations, such as our Shelter@TMC and our Online Church. As our nation looks into learning to live in this new normal, it's time for us to learn to worship and do Church in this new normal, and write this next chapter of TMC together. It's time for us to rebuild. Let's build our future together, TMC!

This weekend, we celebrate our youths in our TMC community. They are an integral part of our Church, not just for the future, but for the present too! We give thanks for all that God is doing in this Fearless community; and how they’ve continued to thrive even amidst all that has been happening in the past year. We give thanks for every single one of their lives and just like this weekend sermons reminded us, we want to continue to PRAY EARNESTLY for them together as a community!
