Our Story
Keppel Club, Singapore’s oldest golf and social club established in 1904, is as iconic as it is historic. It was named after Admiral Sir Henry Keppel, an aristocratic British sailor who had helped to clear the Straits Settlements (Singapore, Malacca and Penang) of pirates in the 1830s when Singapore was the busy centre of government for the three areas. A “second home” to nearly 5,000 principal members, it has been bringing boundless joy to them and their family members for over a century.
With a 113-year-old history, Keppel Club has a very rich heritage with its fair share of ups-and-downs. Bordered by Singapore’s southern shoreline, the Club today enjoys 44 hectares of lush undulating terrain on the very site where it was founded, but it was not always like this. It underwent several transformations from a basic 3-hole golf course in a nutmeg plantation to a full-fledged challenging 18-hole course today, complete with all the family-oriented facilities of a premier club.
