The researchers found that women experiencing hyperemesis had significantly higher GDF15 levels during pregnancy than did those who had no symptoms.

But the hormone’s effect seems to depend on the woman’s sensitivity and exposure to the hormone before pregnancy.

Yet more mounting evidence that the vaccine does NOT impact fertility. Presented at the conference by .alan.copperman 👇🏻

💉65 Patients who received the second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna mRNA vaccine two weeks (fully vaccinated) prior to single euploid frozen embryo transfer (FET) were compared to 328 non-vaccinated patients who underwent single euploid FET during the same time period.

RESULTS:

➡️Similar clinical pregnancy rates: (63.4% vs. 56.9%)

➡️No significant difference in pregnancy loss rates

🧐Administration of COVID-19 mRNA vaccines does NOT interfere with early pregnancy in patients who undergo transfer of genetically screened embryos

➡️Although larger studies are needed, patients who are planning pregnancy can be reassured that COVID-19 vaccination does NOT adversely impact early pregnancy outcomes.

Commentary: The myth of COVID-19 vaccines and women’s fertility 14/10/2021

Several populations of women have been followed up after vaccination. Women who have received COVID-19 vaccinations have no difference in markers of ovarian follicle, or egg, quality compared to unvaccinated women.

Studies have demonstrated no difference in embryo implantation rate for women who had received vaccination against COVID-19 prior to having in vitro fertilisation (IVF) compared to unvaccinated women.

Research has shown there’s additional benefit of vaccination in pregnancy, with the baby gaining some protection against COVID-19. Antibodies have been found in cord blood and in breast milk, suggesting temporary protection for babies, also called passive immunity.

Commentary: The myth of COVID-19 vaccines and women’s fertility Unvaccinated pregnant women risk being critically ill if they get COVID-19. And the data clearly shows that vaccination is safe and does not affect fertility or pregnancy, say two researchers.
