Jesus Washes His Disciples' Feet
John 13:1-20
“After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. “
The ceremony of washing feet is a profound act of humility that breaks down one's ego. It's the ultimate peak of humbleness.
When we witness His Grace, Dr. Yuhanon Mar Diascoros Metropolitan washing the feet of us common people, it shatters our ego.
The evening was illuminated with lights as His Grace Dr. Yuhanon Mar Diascoros Metropolitan led us through the "Evening of the Lights and Reaching the Harbor (Ramsho d-Naheera, Wa'de dalmino)" service.
After a long Palm Sunday, we are grateful for His Grace's unceasing supplication as His Grace led us through Wa'de dalmino service.
His Grace quoted the parable of Virgins/Bridesmaids awaiting the bridegroom in St. Matthew 25 and reminded us to be watchful and vigilant as we enter Holy Week and prepare ourselves for the Resurrection and to welcome the Bridegroom into our lives.
The service symbolized the wise virgins' entrance into heaven, with three knocks at the church door.

We are grateful to God for the joy of a full-fledged Palm Sunday after the challenging Covid years.
It was a blessed Palm Sunday service with the presence of His Grace Dr. Yuhanon Mar Diascoros Metropolitan.
The children, as always, were delighted with flowers and leaves. The congregation's spirits were lifted by the grace of God, the joy of communal worship , and the sense of togetherness as we processed to showcase our faith to the world.
Moreover, we are delighted to have adorned four new acolytes today.
Today, in conjunction, we also officially expressed our heartfelt gratitude to His Grace Dr. Yuhanon Mar Diascoros Metropolitan for his exceptional leadership and guidance during the past 13 years at our parish in the Chennai Diocese.
As we enter into Holy Week, we remain in prayerful reflection of God's sorrowful passion, which redeemed us from our sins.
