TechCreate at the Cambodia Banking Conference 2023!

TechCreate was proud to participate in the Cambodia Banking Conference 2023, alongside our CyberSecurity Partner, SecuLetter Global. Hosted by The Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC), the conference took place on August 24th, 2023, at Hyatt Regency in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

The conference's central aim was to foster and enhance the benchmarks for sustainable and digital banking practices within the thriving Cambodian banking landscape. At this conference, TechCreate's Group CEO, Lim Heng Hai, delivered an insightful presentation on the crucial topic of Risk management and Electronic Know-Your-Customer (E-KYC).

Our presence and engagement at this event underscore our commitment to contributing to the advancement of Cambodia's banking sector.

TechCreate is grateful to Rear Admiral Dato' Shamsuddin Bin Haji Ludin, Director General Defence Cyber & Electromagnetic Division, Malaysia, and YDH CP Dato Ramli Bin Mohamed Yoosuf, Director of Commercial Crime Investigation Department (JSJK) Royal Malayisa Police, for visiting our booth at CyberDSA 2023. We were honored to have the opportunity to discuss our cybersecurity solutions with them and to learn more about their needs.

Day 2 of Cyber DSA2023!

We were delighted to welcome Teo Nie Ching (张念群) to our booth to learn more about the cybersecurity solutions offered by our partners(SecuLetter Global, NETAND, 소만사(SOMANSA)) from South Korea.

On top of that, we are pleased to announce that, at the CyberDSA event, we signed two memorandums of understanding (MOUs) to further enhance our cybersecurity capabilities and commitment to education.

The first MOU was signed with the Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) to explore the development of a cybersecurity curriculum for the university. The curriculum will be designed to meet the needs of the industry and help to produce graduates with the skills and knowledge necessary to protect critical infrastructure and information assets.

The second MOU was signed with NetAssist, a leading cybersecurity solutions provider in Malaysia. The MOU will explore the co-delivery of cybersecurity services to TechCreate's customers. This will allow TechCreate to offer a wider range of services and solutions to its customers, while also leveraging NetAssist's expertise in cybersecurity.

In recognition of TechCreate's support for education, CyberSecurity Malaysia (CSM) awarded the company the CyberSecurity Education Innovation Award at its Gala Dinner on August 16, 2023. The award is given to organizations that have made significant contributions to the development of cybersecurity education and services in Malaysia.

"We are committed to strengthening our cybersecurity capabilities and helping to protect our customers from cyber threats," said TechCreate CEO, Mr. Lim Heng Hai. "These MOUs are a significant step forward in achieving our goals, and we are confident that they will help us to deliver even better services to our customers."

The MOUs with UTHM and NetAssist are just the latest in a series of initiatives that TechCreate has taken to strengthen its cybersecurity capabilities and commitment to education. In recent years, the company has also established a cybersecurity research center, launched a cybersecurity academy, and sponsored a number of cybersecurity events with partners.

Lim Heng Hai, the Group CEO of TechCreate, was honored to be invited to the 50th Anniversary dinner of the The Association of Banks in Singapore(ABS) on June 23, 2023. This event held great importance for the bankers from ABS member banks, as it marked the first large gathering since the COVID-19 outbreak in 2019.

In commemorating the significant achievement of reaching 50 years, we express our deep appreciation to Mrs. Ong Ai Boon, Director of ABS, for her remarkable 40-year tenure and exemplary leadership of the ABS Permanent Secretariat. We are also indebted to the industry pioneers whose invaluable contributions have laid a robust foundation for the prosperity of the banking sector.

Furthermore, we would like to extend our warm congratulations to Mrs. Ong Ai Boon on the successful publication of her book. TechCreate has recently participated in the Instant Payment System workshop for Laos' financial community, co-hosted by ASEAN Banker Association (ABA) and Mojaloop Foundation, which took place at the Bank of Lao PDR. (BOL PDR)

Mr. Manolith Somphonphacdy, Deputy Director General of BoL PDR was the guest of honour for the workshop and we were honoured to have a private audience with Mrs. Vathana Dalaloy, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Lao PDR, to understand their aspiration of BoL.

During the workshop valuable insights such as, scheme setup, regulatory compliance, technology implementation, and operational considerations related to Instant Payment Systems were being discussed in-depth. The event was attended by industry leaders, including Mr. Paul Gwee Choon Guan, Secretary-General of ABA, and Steve Harper, a representative from Mojaloop.
