Despite a dip in overall employment in 2023 amidst weak economic environments, the Singapore Ministry of Manpower says Singapore’s labour market remained resilient.

Voting results are out!

The new Central Committee has been elected on 23 November 2023 to lead NTUC in unity and with purpose to champion workers’ interests and rights.

Close to 450 delegates from NTUC’s 58 affiliated unions participated in a secret ballot to elect the Central Committee for the four-year term of 2023 to 2027.

The new Central Committee has also appointed Mr Heng Chee How as Deputy Secretary-General.

With inflation continuing to be a big concern for workers, the NTUC U-Care Fund has doubled its efforts for lower-income union members and their families who need more help with daily expenses.

In 2023, the U Care Fund provided a helping hand to some 10,000 union members and their families.

It also raised $7.25 million, all dedicated to funding assistance programmes in 2024.
