On Sunday evening, I spent time with Jinyu, Carina, and Lucas. They live behind a set of blocks across the field. This was the first time we had a family photo shoot since Lucas was a baby. I have been documenting a few families privately throughout the years, and some of them encouraged me to start doing this with some of my wedding couples. Not from a business perspective, but with the intention of seeing how these photos can grow with them over the years.

Each session is almost like a pause in life, allowing us to reflect on how the month was and what is to come. Sometimes, it's just catching up with them, and most of the time, it's just being present and feeling valued for who I am. I tend to get carried away with so many emotions and run on a high or low, but these family moments equalize my thoughts and bring me back to my happy place.
✏️Note to self:
we have all that we need,
right here in our heart, in our hands.
This year,
I'll be spending time investing my efforts to creatives who are pursuing their next step up in their process.
I wish I had halved my journey to get to where I am,
but that path less traveled helps me to mark out pitfalls and the right turns for our creative pursuits.
