A big shoutout to the amazing young adults of Ang Mo Kio GRC who joined us for a meaningful Saturday morning chat about Singapore’s future, inspired by the recent National Day Rally! 🙌🇸🇬

We had fun and insightful conversations ranging from the perks of living close enough to JB for a weekend lunch, to improving mental wellness in schools and workplaces, and we even debated whether owning a home and raising kids is realistic in today’s economy. Some participants even shared how they’re glad to see today’s students benefiting from a more flexible system, where students from different streams get a chance to interact and socialise. 😊

Thanks to everyone who joined us for a reflective discussion at Bedok CC over the weekend, inspired by the National Day Rally! We dedicated the first half of the August to delving into our relationships with others, hosting events around the themes of Singlehood, Friendships & Relationships, and Volunteering! In the latter half, we looked ahead to the future with themes of Settling Down, Life Transitions, and Our Singaporean Dream.

🔮 At our HTHT on Singlehood and Friendships & Relationships events, we explored how to maintain old relationships and nurture new ones, both platonic and romantic.

🔮 Participants currently volunteering or looking to volunteer gathered for a reflective night at imPAct @ Hong Lim, where they exchanged stories and connected over their shared passion to give back! 💗

🔮 Bukit Timah & Bukit Panjang residents gathered around the topics of Settling Down and Life Transitions, where they got to know their neighbours and shared tips on navigating the challenges of adulting and life’s various milestones.

🔮 We concluded the month with youths of East Coast, where residents and students enjoyed a lovely Saturday morning discussing their visions for Singapore’s future 🇸🇬

What a fruitful evening we had at imPAct @ Hong Lim Green! We discussed the challenges faced during volunteering, and also the joys of giving back! The night was filled with heartwarming conversations with volunteers introducing charities they’ve supported to others and engaging in deeper conversations about them. An important insight about volunteering struck out to us: it is essential to be in the right headspace to be able to make the right impact when helping others 💗🤲
