Dream Academy is the funniest, socially relevant theatre company in Singapore It all began in 1981. The famous West End musical, My Fair Lady, was on television.
Selena Tan, just 14, was in the living room, watching with her whole family. The colours, the songs, the dances – she was completely mesmerised and it sparked a desire to be on stage. That desire drove her to join a theatre camp programme, the Youth Theatre Singapore. That desire turned into passion, and become her one pursuit in life – to commit wholeheartedly to a life in theatre. 19 years later
