The Specialist Dental Group (SDG) Education Awards was designed to encourage our colleagues' children to reach their highest academic potential. At the start of this decade, COVID-19 gave us a rude shock in human's recent history. The world turned upside down. How we live, communicate, travel and learn is no longer the same. It was no different for those involved in maxillofacial prosthetic services and education. In Asia, dental education stopped for at least two months in Singapore and Hong Kong. The elect of this disruption reverberated after that. In this presentation, they will share the challenges they faced during these troubled times, how they overcame them through multi-institutional collaboration and technology, as well as the learning points they gathered from their journey, with the hope that this model can be replicated through 'normal' post-pandemic time.

We remember the legacy of Dr Henry Lee, founder of Henry Lee Dental Surgery (HLDS), through this antique dental weighing scale. It is currently on display at Mount Elizabeth Hospital (Block B, Level 2). The scale is donated by his daughter, Dr Helena Lee, who is also a periodontist at Specialist Dental Group.
