*Jaya Radhastami*

tapta-kāñcana-gaurāṅgi
rādhe vṛndāvaneśvari
vṛṣabhānu-sute devi
praṇamāmi hari-priye

I offer my respects to Rādhārāṇī, whose bodily complexion is like molten gold and who is the Queen of Vṛndāvana. You are the daughter of King Vṛṣabhānu, and You are very dear to Lord Kṛṣṇa.

On this most auspicious day we are praying very fervently to you, Srimate Radharani that you very kindly grant your utmost mercy to us in bringing us to the divine lotus feet of our very dear Krsna. Hare Krsna All glories to Srila Prabhupada. Please bless us.

*Contamination Of The Heart*

CC Madhya 15.274: "The heart of a brāhmaṇa is by nature very clean; therefore it is a proper place for Kṛṣṇa to sit.
CC Madhya 15.275: "Why have you allowed the caṇḍāla of jealousy to sit here also? In this way you have contaminated a most purified place, your heart.
CC Madhya 15.276: "However, due to the association of Sārvabhauma Bhaṭṭācārya, all your contamination is now vanquished. When a person's heart is cleansed of all contamination, he is able to chant the mahā-mantra, Hare Kṛṣṇa.

*Three Important Things*

In the Hare Kṛṣṇa movement, the chanting of the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra, the dancing in ecstasy and the eating of the remnants of food offered to the Lord are very, very important. One may be illiterate or incapable of understanding the philosophy, but if he partakes of these three items, he will certainly be liberated without delay. CC Madhya 15.247 purport

*Knowingly Acting Sinfully*

CC Madhya 5.90: The young brāhmaṇa continued, "My dear Sir, You are very merciful and You know everything. Therefore, kindly be a witness in this case. A person who knows things as they are and still does not bear witness becomes involved in sinful activities."

Comment;
There are many who know that Srila Prabhupada is the actual guru but still are not surrendering to him thus committing sinful activities.

*Importance of Observing Caturmasya *

Cāturmāsya should be observed by all sections of the population. It does not matter whether one is a gṛhastha or a sannyāsī. The observance is obligatory for all āśramas. The real purpose behind the vow taken during these four months is to minimize the quantity of sense gratification. This is not very difficult. In the month of Śrāvaṇa one should not eat spinach, in the month of Bhādra one should not eat yogurt, and in the month of Āśvina one should not drink milk. One should not eat fish or other nonvegetarian food during the month of Kārtika. A nonvegetarian diet means fish and meat. Similarly, masūra dhal and urad dhal are also considered nonvegetarian. These two dhals contain a great amount of protein, and food rich in protein is considered nonvegetarian. On the whole, during the four-month period of Cāturmāsya one should practice giving up all food intended for sense enjoyment. CC Madhya 4.169 purport

*Everything To Be Given*

SB 7.14.34: O King of the earth, it has been decided by expert, learned scholars that only the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Kṛṣṇa, in whom all that is moving or nonmoving within this universe is resting and from whom everything is coming, is the best person to whom everything must be given.

*Inconceivable*

acintyāḥ khalu ye bhāvā
na tāṁs tarkeṇa yojayet
prakṛtibhyaḥ paraṁ yac ca
tad acintyasya lakṣaṇam

"Anything transcendental to material nature is called inconceivable, whereas arguments are all mundane. Since mundane arguments cannot touch transcendental subject matters, one should not try to understand transcendental subjects through mundane arguments."

This verse from the Mahābhārata (Bhīṣma-parva 5.22) is also quoted in the Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu (2.5.93), by Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī. CC Adi 17.308

*Offering Obeisances*

devatā-pratimāṁ dṛṣṭvā yatiṁ caiva tridaṇḍinam
namaskāraṁ na kuryād yaḥ prāyaścittīyate naraḥ

"One who does not offer respect to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, to His Deity in the temple or to a tridaṇḍī sannyāsī must undergo prāyaścitta [atonement]."

If one does not offer obeisances to such a sannyāsī, the prescribed prāyaścitta is to fast for one day. CC Adi 17.265 purport

*Namabhasa Chanting*

Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, Sixth Canto, Second Chapter, verse 14, indicates that the chanting of the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra, even in joking, in the course of ordinary discussion, in indicating something extraneous, or in negligence, is called nāmābhāsa, which is chanting that is almost on the transcendental stage. This nāmābhāsa stage is better than nāmāparādha. Nāmābhāsa awakens the supreme remembrance of Lord Viṣṇu. When one remembers Lord Viṣṇu, he becomes free from material enjoyment. Thus he gradually comes forward toward the transcendental service of the Lord and becomes eligible to chant the holy name of the Lord in the transcendental position. CC Adi 17.200 purport

*Five Forbidden Acts Of Kali Yuga*

aśvamedhaṁ gavālambhaṁ
sannyāsaṁ pala-paitṛkam
devareṇa sutotpattiṁ
kalau pañca vivarjayet

"'In this Age of Kali, five acts are forbidden: the offering of a horse in sacrifice, the offering of a cow in sacrifice, the acceptance of the order of sannyāsa, the offering of oblations of flesh to the forefathers, and a man's begetting children in his brother's wife.'

This is a quotation from the Brahma-vaivarta Purāṇa (Kṛṣṇa-janma-khaṇḍa 185.180). CC Adi 17.164

*Only We Are Good*

But according to the injunctions of the śāstras, we cannot make compromises with these so-called jñānīs, yogīs, karmīs and tapasvīs. When they say they are as good as we are, we must say *that only we are good and that they are not good. *This is not our obstinacy; it is the injunction of the śāstras. We must not deviate from the injunctions of the śāstras. CC Adi 17.24 purport

*To Become Proud*

One should not, therefore, be too proud of one's position. Even if one is a greatly learned scholar, if he commits an offense to the lotus feet of the Lord he will not be able to speak properly, in spite of his learning. In every respect, we are controlled. Our only duty, therefore, is to surrender always to the lotus feet of the Lord and not be falsely proud. CC Adi 16.89 purport

*Vaisnava Birth*

When a Vaiṣṇava is born, he delivers both his maternal and paternal families simultaneously. CC Adi 14.17 purport

*Blind Leading The Blind*

In the Kaṭha Upaniṣad it is also said: avidyāyām antare vartamānāḥ svayaṁ dhīrāḥ paṇḍitaṁ manyamānāḥ. Although ignorant, people still go to other blind men for leadership. As a result. both are subjected to miserable conditions. The blind lead the blind into the ditch. 5.5. 16 purport.

*The Mercy Of Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. *

CC Ādi 12.19: Śrī Gopāla was another son of Śrī Advaita Ācārya Prabhu. Now just hear about his characteristics, for they are all very wonderful.
CC Ādi 12.20: When Lord Caitanya personally cleansed the Guṇḍicā-mandira in Jagannātha Purī, Gopāla danced in front of the Lord with great love and happiness.
CC Ādi 12.21: While Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu and Advaita Prabhu chanted the Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra and danced, there were various ecstatic symptoms in Their bodies, and Their minds were very pleased.
CC Ādi 12.22: While all of them danced, Gopāla, dancing and dancing, fainted and fell to the ground unconscious.
CC Ādi 12.23: Advaita Ācārya Prabhu became very unhappy. Taking His son on His lap, He began to chant the Nṛsiṁha mantra for his protection.
CC Ādi 12.24: Advaita Ācārya chanted various mantras, but Gopāla did not come to consciousness. Thus all the Vaiṣṇavas present cried in sorrow at His plight.
CC Ādi 12.25: Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu then put His hand on the chest of Gopāla and told him, "My dear Gopāla, get up and chant the holy name of the Lord!"
CC Ādi 12.26: When he heard this sound and felt the touch of the Lord, Gopāla immediately got up, and all the Vaiṣṇavas chanted the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra in jubilation.

*Eating Anything Other Then Prasadam*

अनर्पयित्वा यो भुंक्ते अन्नपानादिकं च यत् ।श्वानविष्ठासमं चान्नं पानं च मदिरासमम् ॥ २८ ॥

anarpayitvā yo bhuṃkte annapānādikaṃ ca yat |śvānaviṣṭhāsamaṃ cānnaṃ pānaṃ ca madirāsamam || 28 ||

If anyone takes food, drink etc. without dedicating it to me, the food is as bad as the faeces of a dog and the drink just like liquor.

*Dead Body*

CC Ādi 12.70: A person without Kṛṣṇa consciousness is no better than dry wood or a dead body. He is understood to be dead while living, and after death he is punishable by Yamarāja.

*Polluted Mind*

CC Ādi 12.51: "When one's mind is polluted, it is very difficult to remember Kṛṣṇa, and when remembrance of Lord Kṛṣṇa is hampered, one's life is unproductive.

*Fighting Impersonalist And Voidists*

As members of the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement we belong to the family, or disciplic succession, of Sarasvatī Gosvāmī, and thus we are known as Sārasvatas. Obeisances are therefore offered to the spiritual master as sārasvata-deva, or a member of the Sārasvata family (namas te sārasvate deve), whose mission is to broadcast the cult of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu (gaura-vāṇī-pracāriṇe) and to fight with impersonalists and voidists (nirviśeṣa-śūnyavādi-pāścātya-deśa-tāriṇe). CC Adi 10.84 purport

Comment:
We are not to flatter this Impersonalist and Voidist but to fight with them to expose their nonsense of offending lord Krsna.

*In The Spiritual World*

“The jiva-soul's position in the spiritual world is voluntary. Some devotees want to serve Krsna as a flower; then they become a flower there in Vaikuntha. If I want that "As a flower I shall lie down at the lotus feet of Krsna," he becomes a flower, voluntarily, and he can change his position, from flower to human body. That is spiritual life. There is no restriction. If some devotee wants to serve Krsna as cow, he serves Krsna as cow, as calf, as flower, as plant, as water, as ground, field, or as father, as mother, as friend, as beloved, anything. It is inconceivable, yet a fact." SP Melb, Australia May 20, 1975

*Saving All Souls*

prāṇinām upakārāya
yad eveha paratra ca
karmaṇā manasā vācā
tad eva mati-mān bhajet

By his work, thoughts and words, an intelligent man must perform actions which will be beneficial for all living entities in this life and the next.' Vishnu Purana 3.13.45

*Spiritual Trees*

Since the tree of devotional service is transcendental, every one of its parts can perform the action of all the others. Although a tree is supposed to be immovable, this tree nevertheless moves.

Purport

It is our experience in the material world that trees stand in one place, but in the spiritual world a tree can go from one place to another. Therefore everything in the spiritual world is called alaukika, uncommon or transcendental. Another feature of such a tree is that it can act universally. In the material world the roots of a tree go deep within the earth to gather food, but in the spiritual world the twigs, branches and leaves of the upper portion of the tree can act like the roots.CC Adi 9.32
