Setting rules and boundaries for our children can be a real challenge. It frequently leads to upset children (and parents!) and incites power-struggles.

Parcsen Loke is a husband, father, and grandfather. He is a Family Life Coach at the Center for Fathering, and author of The Modern-Day Dad.

21st January 2024, the Chinese New Year (CNY) Lohei event at Tanglin Community Club was a vibrant celebration filled with festive energy.

Participants gathered to toss yusheng, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune, amidst cheers and laughter.

The venue buzzed with excitement as participants immersed themselves in
quizzes, games and cultural performances, creating a vibrant and celebratory atmosphere that brought the community together in joyous spirit.

Wishing everyone a joyous Deepavali filled with lights, laughter, and prosperity. May this festival bring warmth and happiness to you and your loved ones!

The Joy of Giving on 4th November morning was a wonderful feeling that comes from sharing and helping others in need.

It's the satisfaction and happiness that arises when you give selflessly to make a positive impact on someone's life. This act of generosity not only benefits the recipients but also brings a sense of fulfillment to the giver.

[ 28th October 2023 ] Peranakan Night at Tanglin Community Club.

The Peranakan Night event was a vibrant celebration of Peranakan culture, bringing together participants from diverse backgrounds.
Guests savored a delectable array of Nonya cuisine, with dishes like Ayam Buah Keluak, Nonya Chap Chye, sambal timon, Nonya Kueh....delighting their taste buds.
The evening was a sensory journey that immersed attendees in the rich flavors of Peranakan Music, Songs and Dance - traditions of the Peranakan culture.

The dumpling festival competition was so exciting show casing many types of interesting dumplings from different dialects. We had Chef Raymond, Chef Jason and Chef Steven with us and they prepared the huge dumpling for participants to take home .

Tanglin CCMC, WEC and together with other committees jointly organized this Lohei Session on 8 January 2023 to celebrate Lunar New Year.
Great performances by different interest groups accompanied by great food too.
Yu Sheng 鱼生 🐟 was prepared by our In-house culinary chef's IG. Very professional presentation !

We partnered HPB (Health Promotion Board ) who delivered exciting and useful information about making healthy choices for children.
