In 6 years, our humble recreational area has been graced by thousands of children from their toddlerhood, preschool then primary school years. They have shaped how our well-loved train table has evolved through the years.

📷1 Our 2017 guests will remember the very first train table. It was a sight to behold, featuring beautiful pure wooden PlanToys City line of tracks, buildings, vehicles and accessories. The width of the table made it difficult for children to interact with the inner parts. It was clunky, a diamond in the rough.

📷2 In early 2018, the streamlined table was born, featuring the same PlanToys City structures in a more accessible layout.

📷3 Around the end of 2018, we experimented with Brio World line of train sets. The combined wood-and-plastic structures and magnetised vehicles gave a sleek touch and new playing possibilities. It quickly became a favourite amongst train enthusiasts. We also experimented with odd layouts such as this S-shaped table.

📷4 On our 2019 anniversary, we honoured our long-time guests by bringing back the PlanToys City train sets with new never-before-seen accessories in an L-shaped layout. The warmth of pure wood and detailed mini-themes brought back the charm of the olden days.

📷5 Once the nostalgia has worn off, this generation’s growing children missed their modern trains! By early 2020, the Brio World was back with a much improved terrain variation and flow. This was to be a happy escape through the challenging pandemic years, when children grew up with the reality of mask-wearing and safe-distancing.

📷6 The train table continued to evolve over the years until present day 2023. Letting go of purism, we combined the best of PlanToys City’s handsome wooden buildings, Brio World’s modern wood-and-plastic structures and vehicles, as well as Hape’s awesome mountain mine into this rich train table. The joyful sight of children immersed in their unique play stories never gets old.
