Join me for my first Instagram live! I will be teach how to paint this wreath using edible food coloring on a fondant base. I have been applying this technique on all my paintings and it will be a fun and interactive session. . Date: 24 Feb 2021 Time: 8.30pm (GMT +8)
7 hours, condensed to 40 seconds. I have to admit, i was intimidated and excited what this will turn out to be. . The process of coating this cake was nerve wrecking. Before i got started painting this cake, i remember @saltedbeans had to find a tall enough scraper to coat this cake. And trust us when we say it is definitely not easy to coat a 9” cake so tall. . I actually started painting this cake 7pm the night before until 3am so that the cake can spend as little time as it could in the fridge, painted this piece as late as i could, in case the food colouring melts and the cake “cry”. . I was struggling to push the cake topper in (horizontally) i was super stressed because the topper couldn’t go into the cake, partly because the support was abit long, and i totally forgot this cake had bubbletea straw inside too (which is why the cake could be so tall). I had to cut the acrylic cake topper with my wire cutter (trust me the fear is real). . Long story short, i love this cake, and the hard work that came behind this cake is not only years of practicing and training, but hardwork and risks taking. . Thank you for listening to my grandmother story. ♥️
