[đ—˜đ—©đ—˜đ—Ąđ—§đ—Š] We're super excited to welcome back to Singapore next month the witty and passionate Victor Laculle of Champagne Laculle FrĂšres. Together with Richie, his Singaporean better half, Victor will be presenting his domaine's latest releases – these include two new cuvĂ©es, 𝘓𝘩𝘮 đ˜‹đ˜Šđ˜¶đ˜č đ˜đ˜ąđ˜đ˜đ˜ŠÌđ˜Šđ˜Ž and 𝘓𝘩 đ˜—đ˜Šđ˜”đ˜Șđ˜” 𝘗𝘰đ˜Șđ˜Żđ˜” đ˜™đ˜°đ˜¶đ˜šđ˜Š ("The Little Red Dot" 🔮). An affectionate nod to Singapore's nickname, the latter is a RosĂ© Brut Nature made specially for the Singapore market: a tribute to the deep Singapore-France connection.
Victor and his brother Edouard farm some of the the finest terroirs in the Aube, and the refined, precise champagnes coming out of this domaine are a testament to their focus on sustainable and organic practices. The Laculle house style is racy and taut, with a gentle winemaking style favouring dimension and depth over power. These are incredible single-plot Champagnes that deserve a place on any wine lover’s dining table (the same goes for their superb white and red Coteaux Champenois still wines đŸ·).
We hope you'll join us for our special dinner with Victor and Richie on 15 March 2023. We couldn't think of a more appropriate venue for this event than 1-Michelin ⭐ Nouri, where Chef Ivan Brehm weaves culinary stories grounded in "crossroads cooking": food which varies in cultural influence but which highlights and celebrates the connections we all share, regardless of our background. Details via the link in our profile ☝ See you there!

[Events] We’re delighted to welcome back to Singapore next week the affable Romain Chapuis of Burgundy’s Chapuis FrĂšres, with not just one, but *two* events! 🎉 He'll be presenting his tremendous 2020 vintage – and for one very special dinner, he’ll also be showcasing his superb Grand Cru cuvĂ©es (under the radar for now – though perhaps not for too much longer!).
Romain’s focus on organic viticulture and clean winemaking results in pure, vibrant Burgundy wines that transcend their respective appellations. He elevates each of them with his thoughtful approach, crafting serious Burgundies that are juicy and transparent, yet possess remarkable depth and complexity.
The phrase “accessible Burgundy” is fast becoming a contradiction in terms, but at Chapuis FrĂšres, Romain proves it can still be true: each wine tastes far more sophisticated than its price tag would suggest. Supremely elegant wines, they're almost contemplative in their beauty – pristine, irresistible Burgundy built for sheer pleasure đŸ·âœš

We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome to Singapore’s shores, a Burgundy winemaking couple most near and dear to our hearts ❀ – Claire Naudin (Domaine Naudin-Ferrand) and Jean-Yves Bizot (Domaine Bizot) will be gracing us with their presence from November 14-16.
‱
It's incredibly rare to be able to get both of these superstars in the same room for an event, so to celebrate, we’ve lined up 3 very special dinners with them both.
‱
There'll be one dinner focused on each of their respective wines, plus a third one showcasing BiNaume, their joint nĂ©goce collaboration – which features not just one, but two verticals.
‱
Claire and Jean-Yves are two of our most favourite vignerons anywhere, and we’ve been bowled over by our subscribers’ warm reception to these events đŸ”„ Seating is extremely limited, and terms and conditions apply. Details via the link in our profile – see y'all there đŸ˜ŠđŸ·

[Events] We’re delighted to welcome back to Singapore’s shores, our favourite Central Otago wine grower Yoshiaki Sato, of New Zealand’s Sato Wines. To celebrate Yoshi-san’s visit, we’ve lined up special dinners on Sept 27-28 at two of our favourite restaurants. These will feature the debut of La Ferme de Sato, and will also include some special library releases. We hope you’ll join us at these exciting events – please click the link in our profile to check out the details đŸ·
Having traveled throughout France, both working at cult biodynamic/organic domaines that make fine natural wines such as Jean-Pierre Frick (Alsace) and Jean-Yves Bizot (Vosne-Romanée), Yoshi and his wife Kyoko ended up settling down in Central Otago, aspiring to make wines in a totally natural way, in order to fully express terroir nuances. Their wines are remarkable in that they are truly fine wines, yet they also manage to also stay faithful to their natural wine ethos, intent and taste.
As with the best biodynamic/organic wines, energy — and a haunting soulfulness — is what sets Sato wines apart. They taste alive, replete with complex aromatics that inform you of much more than just fruits.
La Ferme de Sato is the culmination of Yoshi and Kyoko’s dream of growing and making great wine in Central Otago, harnessing the philosophies and skills they have gained along the way. 2019 is the debut vintage for La Ferme de Sato, and Yoshi’s very much looking forward to presenting this new collection to his fans here. These are immensely soulful, refined wines – and we can’t wait to share them with you. ✹

đŸŒ€ With this month comes cautious optimism that we’re approaching the end of the pandemic tunnel and finally, gingerly, emerging into the light. Restrictions are gradually easing, and we’re grateful for the return of convivial gatherings with friends and family (now, where did we put those magnums?).
Dare we say, there’s no better way to kickstart a joyous reunion than with Champagne: Jean-Marc SĂ©lĂšque’s bottlings are invigorating and irresistible, and within the past few years he’s taken them to another level completely in terms of both quality and personality – catapulting his family domaine into one of the most talked-about names today. In addition to what’s on our list, we’ve also got some special cuvĂ©es and single-vineyard rarities stashed away too, so keep your eyes peeled for our upcoming mailer.
And yes, we couldn't resist putting Claire Naudin’s 2019 Viola Odorata on our cover – even though all Naudin 2019s are now *fully sold out* to our mailing list subscribers – because it has completely stolen our heart (as has its maker). Claire is an extraordinary vigneronne, and without a doubt one of our favourite people in Burgundy. Her signature style – which marries florality with delectably pure fruit polished by gentle oak tone – shines through vividly every vintage. Get ready to pounce on our 2020 vintage en primeur allocation offer, which should be going out to our mailing list within the next month or so.
Also new to the catalogue in April are the 2019s from some more of our favourite Burgundy producers – CĂŽte de Beaune visionaries Domaine Chandon de Briailles, Chassagne specialists Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard, and purveyors of pan-CĂŽte finesse Domaine GĂ©not-Boulanger – as well as the latest releases from beacons of the True Sonoma Coast, Hirsch Vineyards.
To check out what’s new, head to our April wine list via the link in our IG profile. Our profile link is also where you can sign up to our mailing list, to be first in line for new arrivals and special goodies. Drop us a line at [email protected] to place your order or make any inquiries :)
Have a wonderful week ahead, everyone ♄

[Sold out] Part of an exciting new generation of winemakers quietly making waves in Burgundy, Catharina Sadde made her debut with a fantastic – but tiny – 2019 vintage that sold out almost instantly in Europe.
We were extremely honoured to be able to bring a very, very small parcel of these captivating wines to our shores last year, and they sold out in a flash to our mailing list subscribers. We can’t wait to receive her 2020 vintage! ♄ To have a chance to get your hands on these and other allocation-only beauties, make sure you’re on our mailing list – just click on the link in our IG profile, and scroll down to join đŸ“©
This rising star is no novice: she has a resumĂ© that would be the envy of any aspiring winemaker, with stints at Domaine de la RomanĂ©e Conti, Drouhin, Comte de VogĂŒĂ©, and Marquis d’Angerville amongst others.
Based in the CĂŽte de Beaune, her domaine is named ‘Les HorĂ©es’, a beautiful and soulful name inspired by the ancient Greek goddesses of the seasons, “Horae”. The name pays tribute to Catharina’s deep connection with nature, an ethos that is infused throughout all of her work.
In our tastings of her inaugural vintage, we found the Coteaux Bourguignons and skin-contact aligoté exuberant and brimming with joie de vivre. Her Pinots, on the other hand, are serious, deep wines that possess huge potential for aging, combining sensual, concentrated fruit with silky, fine-grained tannins.
Colour us impressed: we’re guessing it’s only a matter of time before the rest of the world catches on to these incredible gems. đŸ·âœš

Whenever we think of François Rousset-Martin’s wines, one word immediately comes to mind: Electric.
His wines display characteristic vibrancy and verve, like the vibrating note of a taut guitar string. Yet, each cuvĂ©e remains unique and distinctive, reflective of François’ raison d’ĂȘtre: to understand the phenomenal Jura terroirs on which he works, and to translate that into wines that have an undeniable sense of place.
To bring forth the most faithful expression possible of his illustrious terroirs, François vinifies his numerous small parcels by climat – a practice more common in Burgundy than Jura. And though he’s based in the famed ChĂąteau-Chalon appellation (the unofficial grand cru for the renowned vin jaune), he focuses mainly on non-oxidative ouillĂ© (topped-up) wines – a choice that means that these wines must be classified as ‘simply’ CĂŽtes du Jura. It’s a price he’s willing to pay.
Because he wants to maintain the typicity and character of Jura (rather than make Burgundy look-alikes) – yet also retain a sense of freshness in the wines – François does in fact age all of his ouillĂ© cuvĂ©es sous-voile (under flor) for a short period of time, before they’re topped up and aged in the ouillĂ© way until bottling. It’s not a technique we often see, but the brief time under flor adds depth and complexity, yet allows the wine to retain the vivaciousness of the ouillĂ© style – and the results are absolutely spectacular.
Soulful and nuanced, yet intense and energy-driven, François' wines show remarkable tension, purity and precision. This is some next-level Jurassic magic. Check out these beauties via the link in our profile, and email us at [email protected] to place your order.

We’re ecstatic to have received our first shipment of wines from Jules MĂ©tras, a young vigneron from Beaujolais making wonderfully pure, deep, fruit-driven wines out of the Beaujolais-Villages and Chiroubles appellations. If the ‘MĂ©tras’ name seems familiar to you, Jules is indeed the son of Beaujolais legend Yvon MĂ©tras.
Aside from carrying on his father’s legacy, this gifted young winemaker is quickly making his own mark on the Beaujolais scene. Jules works with some exquisite plots, including a tiny parcel of 80-year-old, previously abandoned vines just behind his father’s winery in Vauxrenard, and another in La Chapelle-de-Guinchay, passed on to him from the “Godfather of natural wine” Jules Chauvet. He also has plots in the Beaujolais cru of Chiroubles: one of which, ‘La Montagne’, is a single vineyard of old vines that sits at over 500 metres elevation.
Like his father, Jules is a firm believer that the important work is done in the vineyard – good vines make good wine. He works organically and biodynamically – all by hand – and harvests the fruit relatively late, at full ripeness, which gives his wines a lovely depth and concentration. Father and son work side by side in the same cellar, and Yvon’s influence is evident in Jules’ practices.
Stylistically, Jules strives for density and minerality in his wines, a slight departure from his father who values finesse above anything else. Jules’ wines have a stunning aromatic complexity and rich fruit vibrancy, perfectly complemented by sour-cherry acidity and a real mineral drive. They’re a pure joy to drink, with echoes of Yvon’s wines but with a distinctive concentration and fruit-forward quality.
We’re extremely lucky to have secured a tiny allocation of Jules’ wines: these are wines with some serious pedigree, but he doesn’t make much, as he’s also intricately involved with his father’s operations. Limited bottles are available currently – check them out in our catalogue via the link in our profile, and email us at [email protected] to place your order.

If there’s one thing that defines the spirit of innovation and the relentless pursuit of perfection at Domaine Moron-Garcia, it’s their use of the baie-par-baie (or berry-by-berry) technique.
Aided by their dedicated friends, Mathieu Moron and Pierre-Olivier Garcia painstakingly “hand-destem” their fruit – grape by grape – using just a pair of scissors, leaving intact only the very end of the stem that is attached to the berry. This gentle but extremely labour-intensive technique keeps the berries whole and unbroken for vinification, when they’re layered in the tank together with whole-cluster bunches and machine-destemmed berries.
This technique is gaining popularity in Burgundy, where it’s said to be used by several top producers, but even then, in only a few top cuvĂ©es – the process is simply too laborious. Mathieu and Pierre-Olivier have chosen to use baie-par-baie across a good number of their cuvĂ©es, offering the wines at an approachable price point that belies just how much work is involved.
Moron-Garcia produces wine mainly within the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation, typically known for pinots with a dark-fruited character, structure and tannins. The terroir qualities are harnessed excellently in these wines – rich, luscious dark berries, elegant minerality and there-but-perfectly-balanced tannins.
But what Mathieu and Pierre-Olivier have also succeeded in doing is bringing out a vivid fragrance, a beautiful floral quality and a certain finesse about these wines. This is partly due to the baie-par-baie technique, but most certainly a result of every meticulous step in their process – for these qualities are also evident in the non baie-par-baie cuvĂ©es. The juxtaposition of power and delicate beauty is, in our opinion, what makes these wines completely unique within our collection of burgundies.
Domaine Moron-Garcia may be a young winery, but it’s indisputably an estate in the ascendant. We have limited bottles of their hedonistic 2019 beauties on hand currently, available on a first-come first-served basis. Check them out in our catalogue via the link in our profile, and email us at [email protected] to place your order ✉✚

2022 beckons (already!), and we have a host of new arrivals to help you celebrate this festive season.
Just in time for the holidays, we’ve received some eagerly-awaited 2019 Burgundies from more of our favourite producers: Armand Heitz, ChanterĂȘves, Domaine AMI, Domaine Y. Clerget, Domaine Jean Grivot, Domaine Jean Tardy, Domaine Hudelot-NoĂ«llat, and Domaine Jean-Marc Millot.
We also have the latest collection from Chapuis Frùres, whose charming Burgundies always find a place at our table. On this month’s cover is the 2020 Hautes-Cîtes de Beaune Rouge: juicy and perfumed, it displays the minerality and complexity of far less humble appellations.
And from Champagne HurĂ© FrĂšres come exactly the kind of champagnes we adore – fresh and approachable, yet endowed with a beguiling multi-layered complexity. Our cover features their Insouciance RosĂ©, a delicate, harmonious rosĂ© Champagne with superb substance and depth.
There’s also a dizzying array of returning Beaujolais and Jura gems to discover. These include perennial Jura favourites Domaine des Marnes Blanches, whose crisp, refreshing mĂ©thode traditionelle sparkling, “Bulle Ton Body”, makes for a super fun aperitif wine. This complements their ever-popular range, which includes Chardonnay, Savagnin, Poulsard, and Trousseau (in magnums!) and a lip-smacking vin jaune.

Just a few weeks ago, we cracked open a precious few bottles of Julie Balagny’s 2016 vintage, the first vintage we brought to these fair shores, and were swiftly blown away. The aromas were unreal – absolutely intoxicating – and incredibly complex with exotic florals and layers upon layers of dense, mineral-rich fruit. Julie makes Beaujolais as you have never known it: ethereal yet energetic, elegant yet intense, wild and exuberant in youth but evolving to sophistication and maturity. Like all great wines, there is something about Julie’s that is difficult to put in words – *Soul*, perhaps.
Many have referred to Julie as the “queen of Beaujolais” and we’re inclined to agree. Her wines continue to blow us away year after year, but the 2019 vintage may just represent some of her best work yet. Even in their youth, the wines are open, charming and oh-so-effortlessly drinkable. That said, we urge you to squirrel away a bottle or two, for they’re sure to reward you in years to come.
We’re immensely grateful to have become friends with Julie over the years, and are delighted each time we receive our annual allocation from her. Julie's wines seem to radiate with the energy and joie de vivre of their creator, and they never fail to light up the table with their joyous drinkability. Not only are they fantastic wines, they’re also close to impossible to find the world over. Cult status aside, these are wines we always reach for, wines that always put a smile on our faces.
The 2019s are now in-stock and available, but as always, quantities are seriously limited – they won’t be around for long. Also included in this offer are some magnum rarities (and these really are super rare). Due to restrictive quantities, allocation rules may need to apply. Check out the link in our profile to read the offer, and email us at [email protected] to place your order.

New month, new shipments – we’re delighted to bring you more shiny new wines for your drinking pleasure! This month, more of our favourites have arrived from Jura, Champagne, and Austria, and the possibilities for vinous exploration are endless.
Wines from the Jura region of France are hot property right now, and the wines from Fabrice Dodane of Domaine de Saint Pierre need almost no introduction. Year after year, we continue to be impressed by his lip-smacking, textured, sumptuous whites and vibrant reds popping with crunchy red fruit.
From Champagne, the gently vibrant, vinous and incredibly expressive cuvĂ©es from Ruppert-Leroy are a testament to BĂ©nĂ©dicte and Emmanuel Leroy’s sheer passion and dedication to their craft. The champagnes are a little shy right now from their journey to our shores, but they should be ready to rock ’n’ roll after a few months’ rest in the cellar.
And over in Austria, Martin & Anna Arndorfer are making pure, precise, and downright delicious gems that seem to almost radiate with the joy of their makers. This sense of pure enjoyment extends to the juicy, refreshing pĂ©t-nats from their side project, Fuchs und Hase – the perfect way to kick-start a weekend!
It’s time to get out of that drinking rut and explore new horizons! To see what’s in store, check out our September wine list via the link in our profile. Drop us a line at [email protected] to place your order or make any inquiries.
Have a wonderful week ahead, everyone ♄

Bursting with personality, the wines of EnvĂnate transport you instantly to the wild, rugged landscape of the Atlantic coastline.
From the whispers of sea spray evident in the TagĂĄnan wines to the herbaceous, spicy quality of the Lousas reds, these unique wines unabashedly express from where and when they hail. This is not an accident: the foursome behind the EnvĂnate collective are single-minded in their quest to produce terroir-transparent wines. Through careful vineyard work and a style of winemaking aimed at highlighting and not hiding the grape, these trailblazers bring us authentic, soulful (not to mention delicious) representations of vinos Atlanticos.
Envínate has already attained somewhat of a cult status among sommeliers and wine lovers the world over – and we can clearly see why. As exhilarating as they are acclaimed, these wines have absolutely knocked our socks off.
We feel immensely privileged to bring you their latest releases, from the Canary Islands (TĂĄganan, Palo Blanco, Migan) and Ribeira Sacra (Lousas). These are wines filled with personality, character and soul. They vibrate with energy and at the same time are fresh, elegant, and eminently drinkable. Every time we open a handcrafted bottle from Champagne La Parcelle, we’re bowled over anew by the wine’s enigmatic, inimitable grace. It’s an enduring – and alluring – quality that never fails to enliven our neurons and tastebuds equally. The source of this magic is a tiny jewel of an estate, located deep within the outer reaches of the Marne valley.
StĂ©phanie Chevreux and Julien Bournazel are an incredibly warm and hospitable husband-and-wife team. On what must be Champagne’s most dimunitive estate, they work a minuscule 0.4-hectare Pinot Meunier vineyard, doing everything by hand from beginning to end, right down to writing the serial number on each individual bottle. This little vineyard, fondly referred to as La Parcelle, was planted in the 1980s with Pinot Meunier, and has been certified organic and biodynamic since 2015.
From this little slice of heaven come champagnes that are incisive, mineral, and supremely elegant. Their bubbles are incredibly fine, especially for Pinot Meunier, and after airing they reveal fruity, nutty aromas, along with a whiff of the ocean. They are soft and pillowy — a ‘luxurious’ mouthfeel — but bracing in their energy. Total annual production is only around 3,000 bottles, plus a handful of magnums.
These hyper-artisanal creations burst with originality and dynamism, and are proof, should it be needed, that great wines are the product of lovingly tended vines. These precious wines are now in-stock, featuring a selection of new cuvĂ©es, a few rare magnums, and an ĂŒber limited-edition coffret. Check out the link in our profile to read the offer, and email us at [email protected] to place your order.

Eric Morgat makes vibrant, intensely pure Chenins from exceptional Loire terroirs in Anjou and SavenniĂšres.
His family has worked the vines in Anjou for more than two centuries, but he’s forged his own path across the river in Savenniùres, in nothing short of meticulous fashion: he’s assembled his vineyard collection entirely by buying and painstakingly — some might say heroically — restoring, by hand, five parcels that to him represented the greatest terroirs, but which had been either neglected or abandoned over time.
True to their origins, Morgat’s wines are intense, richly textured (akin to the very best Grand Cru white Burgundies), and full of palpable energy. They offer layers and endless depth. The wines are dry but opulent — ripe fruit wrapped around a taut mineral core. Vibrant and densely flavoured, they possess grip and a taut acidity that promises to unfurl beautifully with time. After the catastrophic hail and frost damage of the previous two years, the 2018 vintage was welcomed with much relief – and a sensational vintage it is, with lovely levels of pure fruit, good acidity, and plenty of depth.
Eric Morgat’s stellar new releases positively vibrate with pure, crystalline energy: these are exemplary Chenins by one of the Loire’s modern-day masters. Check out the link in our profile to read the offer, and email us at [email protected] to place your order.

Based in Vosne-RomanĂ©e, Domaine Jean Tardy is a small gem of an operation that’s been on a steady ascent from insiders' secret to bona fide star.
The domaine's portfolio may be made up of mostly villages wines, but they’re all lieu-dit cuvĂ©es which, under Guillaume Tardy’s perfectionist rigour, become elevated expressions: opulent and elegant, replete with intense fruit flavour, and displaying exemplary ageworthiness. In tastings, it’s very difficult to place these wines as merely villages, a testament to Guillaume’s special touch.
These terroir-focused, deeply seductive Pinots glide exquisitely across the palate – there’s a certain sense of Zen about these gloriously constituted wines, and having now experienced the revelatory pleasures of these wines on numerous occasions, it’s clear to us why many consider this domaine to be one of the finest producers in the Cîte d’Or.
Domaine Jean Tardy’s spellbinding 2019s represent yet another splendid collection from Guillaume, and underscore his undeniable star talent. We're delighted to present today our pre-arrival offer; quantities as usual are quite limited. Check out the link in our profile to read the offer, and email us at [email protected] to place your order.

One of the most exciting things we do is to scout out the bright new vignerons who are steadily taking over their family domaines, infusing them with new approaches, and producing inspiring wines. In the Northern RhĂŽne, one such vigneron is Xavier GĂ©rard, of the eponymous Domaine Xavier GĂ©rard. Over the past few years, a quiet excitement has gradually been building over this compelling young winemaker, who is undeniably a star on the rise.
Thanks to his family heritage, Xavier is blessed with access to impressive holdings in CĂŽte-RĂŽtie, Condrieu and Saint-Joseph. Since he assumed full control of both growing and winemaking in 2013, the domaine has truly come into its own. Xavier hit the ground running, and in no time has turned out incredibly elegant and traditionally made Syrahs and Viogniers. His wines are seriously and undeniably world-class; they are defined by depth, detail, and an impossible-to-ignore sense of integration, harmony, and finesse.
We couldn’t be more excited to bring to you today the latest collection from Domaine Xavier GĂ©rard. These new releases chart two fabulous back-to-back vintages in the northern RhĂŽne: 2017 and 2018. This parcel is tiny, however, so if you’d like to get your hands on some, you may want to jump on this fairly quickly.
