I’m really happy to get the readings this morning! My client’s overall metabolism has improved and she’s finally able to shed some weight off.

She’s been gaining weight since her confinement was over and this is not a healthy sign as she has twins. By right, most mummies would have lost weight from being way too tired from taking care of babies. However, her metabolic health was not optimal , so she was not getting the rest that was required and she just kept gaining weight.

She texted me when her babies were about 7mos to find out about MetaPWR. She wanted to restart her metabolic functions and hopefully get back her former energy levels.

Fast forward 2.5 months later, she’s lost 4kgs and body age has gone down. Body and visceral fats also decreased. Her energy levels definitely went up. And her mood has improved.

I earned the Sweetgum during this year’s In Bloom event from April till May. When I first heard about the name, my first thoughts were:

🌺 must be a sweet smelling aroma
🪵 maybe it’s sticky and thick

And guess what, it’s nothing like the above! 😂 When I first smell this Sweetgum also known as Liquidambar in the Taiwan market, I felt that it resembles Sandalwood. However, many others describe the oil as more uniquely spicy, piney and floral at the same time. This makes for a really special fragrance as the aroma can last for a pretty long time on the skin.

Thankful for kind referrals along the way. This client was surely happy with the results of tummy binding. She fell asleep each time we had the 90 mins session of knead on my massage table. They are two different flowers with very similar therapeutic properties. Aroma wise, they are just slightly different. Price wise, about 10 times difference. 😳

Roman Chamomile has a unique, floral scent and chemical components known for their soothing abilities, thus it’s one of those I would diffuse in my postnatal client’s bedrooms. Most of them will fall into deep sleep while I massage their full body.

It can also be used to apply on cleansed skin in the evenings as part of routine for promoting youthful skin. Just add 2 drops of it on your palm and pat lightly on skin just like you would for toner.

You can also use to apply this on very dry hair ends. Add a palmful of fractionated coconut oil, 2-3 drops of Roman Chamomile and apply on the lower ends of hair. I promise you will smell amazing for the entire day 💯

Shout out to all awesome mamas, this is the oil for you. Diffuse 3-5 drops of Clary Sage in the bedroom for some calm and improve your mood especially after handling fussy young ones.

Clary Sage is also great for calming skin irritations, promoting relaxation for a good night’s sleep. I love the woody and herbal aroma that’s slightly different from what I expect to be floral scent.

Do note that preggers should not be applying this oil throughout the pregnancy as this helps level out estrogen in our bodies. It’s definitely useful when mummies want to have natural and smooth delivery at the delivery ward. Massage on the feet and lower abdomen hourly for contractions to take place.

As I was driving home yesterday, the radio DJ said that pregnant women who see their doctors at KKH will now be screened for mental wellness. Wow, what a great way for mummies to open up during pregnancy. 💯

I suffered from postnatal blues after the birth of my firstborn 15 years ago. There were days and nights that I kept tearing for no rhyme or reason. It was an emotion that I couldn’t control. The sadness that just kept coming to me out of the blue, the fears of not being enough, the guilt that would just flood my mind and sleepless nights didn’t help at all. My husband was worried, my church friends were kept in the loop of what’s going on so they could pray with me but the feelings of being alone was real all the time 😩.

This has been keeping me going for the last one year.
