Our K1 children have been busy building, playing, and exploring in their exciting Three Little Pigs adventure! ๐ŸŒŸ

The journey started off with the children constructing the three houses using materials like paper, sticks, and blocks to represent straw, sticks, and bricks. This hands-on activity enhanced their fine motor skills and set the stage for the story's theme. ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿงฑ

Once the houses were built, they dived into the tale through reading and lively role-play, with each child taking on the roles of the pigs, the wolf, and more. The giggles and laughter were contagious as they performed the role-play multiple times, deeply immersing themselves in the story! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Our little ones also identified the good and bad characters and explored the magical elements of the story. Their favourite part? Playing out the scenes with gusto and sharing their favourite moments! ๐ŸŒˆ

We wrapped up the exploration with some problem-solving fun by testing the durability of the houses they built, discovering the importance of strong materials in construction. ๐Ÿ—๏ธ The children were so engaged, and it was a joy to see their excitement and learning come to life!

From observing different crocodile species to learning about their eating habits and habitats, our little explorers were fully immersed in the world of these fascinating reptiles. The excitement didn't stop thereโ€”they got to touch real crocodile eggs and even witnessed baby crocodiles hatching right before their eyes.

Under the careful supervision of trained staff, the children also had the thrilling opportunity to gently touch Timmy, the baby crocodile. It was a day filled with awe and wonder, making learning an experience to remember!

Our K2 children recently took on an exciting literacy challenge with our String-a-Word Activity!

Using bottle caps with letters pasted on them, the little ones eagerly rearranged jumbled letters to form meaningful words. This hands-on task was more than just funโ€”it was a powerful way to boost their phonetic awareness and understanding of letter-sound relationships.

As they manipulated the bottle caps, the children were deeply engaged, learning through trial and error, and celebrating each word they successfully formed. The tactile experience kept them focused and motivated, making literacy come alive in a whole new way! ๐ŸŽ‰

This activity is just one example of how we incorporate experiential learning in our curriculum to prepare children for primary school.

๐ŸŽถ In this music and movement-filled session, our little ones explored the fascinating world of fishes! ๐ŸŸ๐ŸŸ

Our educator introduced a 3D handcrafted fish, helping the children visually recognise and mimic the different types of fish and their characteristics. With soothing music, the children transformed into little fishes, joyfully swimming in their "aquarium."

๐ŸŽต As the song "Little Fish Swimming in the Water" played, they practiced moving to the rhythm, learning the concepts of fast and slow, while also improving their sense of rhythm and body coordination. Finally, in a calm and cosy atmosphere, the children listened quietly to soft music, reflecting on their exploratory journey, and received special praise from the teacher for their excellent performance! ๐ŸŒŸ

Saddle up for a day of adventure! ๐Ÿด

Our playgroup and pre-nursery children had an unforgettable experience at Gallop Stable, where they connected with the horses in the most hands-on way. From brushing and feeding these gentle giants to learning about their unique habits, our little ones were all smiles.

The excitement didnโ€™t stop thereโ€”our 3-year-olds even had their first taste of horseback riding! Parents also joined in the fun, taking turns with their kids to groom the horses and craft their own horseshoes. It was a day filled with joy, learning, and plenty of pony cuddles. ๐Ÿ˜

๐Ÿ’ญ Fun fact: Did you know horses visit the dentist once a year because their teeth keep growing? ๐Ÿ˜‰

The mid-autumn celebrations kicked off at our centres in the past week as our children learnt the significance of the festival which is celebrated today.

Check out the magical shadow puppet drama put together by our educators, captivating our children and parents with tales of folklore. Using cardboard and a variety of materials, the intricate performance brought stories to life, showcasing the art of "shadow play." ๐ŸŽญ After the show, everyone indulged in mooncakes, dumplings, and sipped traditional Chinese tea, celebrating the festivalโ€™s flavours. To wrap up the evening, we embarked on a lantern tour under the shimmering moonlight, sharing in the joy of this special occasion. ๐Ÿฎ๐ŸŒ•

The mid-autumn festival would never be the same without lanterns - and through storytelling, we relived the tales of eating mooncakes, carrying lanterns, and moon gazing to our curious learners. Our educators also guided children in creating their lanterns using unique materials like heart-shaped and star-shaped designs, colourful cellophane, and wool. Each child got to pick their favourite lantern style and teamed up to make their creations glow! ๐ŸŒŸ

Our young explorers recently delved into the exciting world of volcanoes ๐ŸŒ‹ with a hands-on experiment that sparked their curiosity and creativity.

By observing the bubbling reactions caused by mixing acids and bases, they got a firsthand look at simple chemical processes in action. But the fun didnโ€™t stop there! Using recycled materials, the children crafted their own volcano models, bringing the dramatic eruption scenes to life. This engaging activity not only fostered their interest in science but also enhanced their observational and motor skills.

To add an extra layer of excitement, the children discovered how adding different colours and a splash of soap solution made the volcanic eruptions even more visually stunning!
