How to get around Slovenia? Renting a car or travel with your own car is always the most comfortable option, but public transport in Slovenia gets you nearly anywhere. So unless you are planning to take some distant hiking trips, you should be okay with taking the bus or train.
Vignette: To drive on Slovenian motorways, you must buy and display a vignette. Weekly, monthly and annual e vignettes can be purchased online on the DARS website at DARS points of sale, icluding petrol stations and post offices.
