⚖🙌🎊 It's never too late to commemorate and celebrate something meaningful. And so on March 19, we enjoyed our great International Women's Day event on Lenovo Bratislava site.
Our Bratislava team prepared the program in the spirit of & .

In the panel discussion, we heard from our great panelists Páleník, Ňarjašová, Zuzana Hartiníková, M.D. and Bradáč, how and which HR strategies lead to gender equality, what works for Lenovo - how women can prosper there, where maybe we still need to catch up, and also how woman's life stages (can) affect her career (menstruation, maternity leave, menopause, etc.).

💡 👨‍🏫 Our next 2 educational and empowering sessions were met with huge interest, as evidenced by many questions from the audience, which made it difficult to finish them on time 😊.
Thank you, Krček, for a really educative and at the same time fun workshop on artificial intelligence - we're still not sure if we're more excited about or afraid of it, but we already know how to start using it; and a big thanks to Bradáč for an inspiring presentation on how to build our 🎗 personal brand and to succeed. "Authenticity and integrity" as ones of the key things resonate strongly with us.🤝

💪⚡We closed the program with our very own Zuzana Veres and her amazing (light) Pilates session and the relaxation was clearly reflected on our faces afterwards - check out the pictures! ☺👭👩🏾‍🤝‍👩🏼

On Thursday, February 22, 2024, Lenovo volunteers organized a hardware workshop for children from Maxima Gorkého Primary School in Trnava under the Open Future project. 🌟 Approximately 10 enthusiastic kids attended and are still raving about it today. 😄 Denis and Aneta, our ITC engineers, brought Lenovo laptops and tools to disassemble them. 💻🔧 The children had the opportunity to observe the internal components of a computer, understand how they are assembled, and learn about the tools used in the process. 🧐🔨 They also had the chance to try assembling the machines themselves, getting hands-on experience. 👏 The workshop was a tremendous success and a great deal of fun for the participants. 🎉 Subsequently, they were able to apply their newfound knowledge in another workshop. 🚀 The session was organized by ITC project manager Lubica Attia ❤️

Petra Hajduková, our Senior Manager for Global Product Services in Education segment visited BETT 2024 in London. BETT is the biggest education technology exhibition in the world. Bett brings together educators from across the entire education landscape and 500+ innovative EdTech and resource solution providers showcasing cutting-edge and impactful products and services.

After the event, Petra reflected on three powerful moments that left a lasting impact on her:

🌐 🙏 She is grateful for the priceless opportunity to meet colleagues she had been collaborating with online for the past 4 years, Petra expressed her appreciation for the fantastic time spent with her team. The experience provided valuable insights, inspiration, and enjoyable moments. She extended her thanks, acknowledging the for the enriching experience.

👨‍🎓 🎨 👩‍🏫 Petra's focus shifted to the challenges faced by their customers. On one side, there were children eager to acquire future-ready skills using the latest technologies, while on the other side were aging teachers concerned about adapting to new technologies. Petra empathized with the responsibility teachers felt towards the children's education. She highlighted the daily challenges of school directors and IT administrators, emphasizing the need for schools to establish their brand identity and ensure secure devices and data for students.

📈 ❓ The prevalence of AI was a recurring theme, and Petra acknowledged that while some may harbor concerns, many were ready to unlock its potential. She emphasized the omnipresence of AI in various aspects, suggesting a collective readiness to embrace its transformative capabilities.

🤝 Petra concluded by highlighting the collaboration with Lenovo as a means to prepare teachers and students for the future, ensuring they navigate their daily technological challenges with confidence and peace of mind. 📅 On January 18, two volunteers from Lenovo, Juraj Stofira and Daniel Kusnir, 🚀 went to Trnava to lead an amazing 3D printing workshop with a group of kids participating in the Open Future afterschool program.

🎓 The session kicked off with a short lecture, followed by engaging hands-on exercises that sparked creativity and innovation!

🤝 This workshop is a result of the fantastic partnership between Lenovo Diversitas and the Open Future program. 🌐 The feedback from the session was incredible: "Thank you for today's workshop. The guys were awesome! 🙌 They provided a very easy and quick instructional presentation and then dove into the practical aspects of printing. It was excellent; the kids loved that they stayed afterwards to draw with 3D pens."

A big shoutout to Juraj Stofira and Daniel Kusnir for making learning so much fun! 🙏👏

💚 V spolupráci s Lenovo Slovakia sme pomohli tým, ktorí to najviac potrebujú- matke samoživiteľke so štyrmi deťmi, ktorej prednedávnom umrel manžel, zdravotne znevýhodneným deťom a tínedžerom, či rodičom v sociálnej tiesni, ktorí si notebook nemôžu dovoliť.

Veľmi nás teší, že vďaka takémuto partnerstvu môžeme pomáhať aj takýmto spôsobom. 🎄

Charity Christmas market is a yearly tradition in Lenovo Bratislava. 🎄✨We gathered together on December 12th and with the help of our volunteers and supported centers we prepared this special event for our Bratislava Lenovians. 💖 We were selling delicious cakes, cookies, Kapustnica 🍰🍪🥣 and punch for a good cause. Let’s not forget to mention all the handmade products that
caught the eye of the eager buyers. 👀🎁 The atmosphere was brilliant, students from the school for visually impaired kids Skola_Svrcia sang typical Christmas songs🔊🎶, we had burning fireplace (oh how we love technology!), people could pet the dogs from Training school for guide and assistance dogs and get to know our centers – Cdr Repulss and Centrum sociálnych služieb prof. Karola Matulaya. In less than 4 hours we managed to get to over 2800 euros that will be spent to help people in need 🌟🤝.
On behalf of Charity team, I would like to thank to everyone who contributed to our market. Whether it is for cakes and product donations, volunteers or all of you who helped us to get to 2800 Euros. 🙏💕

🧐 Scott held a productive roundtable with our Sales Ops managers and later, he had an engaging session with our team leaders, fostering collaboration and innovation.
📚 As a token of appreciation, the Lenovo Slovakia team presented Scott with a book about Slovakia to maybe make him come back again. Thank you, Scott, for your inspiring visit! 🙌

Ho ho ho! 🎅🎄 The festive spirit is in full swing at Lenovo Bratislava! 🌟 We had our Lenovo Bratislava Christmas Afternoons on Tuesday, December 5th, and Wednesday, December 6th, and it was absolutely jolly! ✨ We enjoyed a delicious feast of traditional Slovak Christmas food, including cabbage soup, vegan bean goulash, schnitzels with potato salad, "lokše", baked sausages, smoked ham, "šúľance", and more! 🍲🥘 To wash it all down, we had non-alcoholic Christmas punch and later some beer and mulled wine for those who wanted to stay late and party into the evening. 🍻🍷 A big thank you to our amazing Social Committee Team for organizing this wonderful event! 🌟 We had a blast! 🎉🎁 Let's keep the holiday magic alive! 🎁
