As the school year drew to a close, students, parents, and staff looked forward to one of the most anticipated events: the Secondary Summer Concert. It was a spectacular showcase of the diverse musical talents of our Secondary students. 🎼

We had the most incredible kayaking adventure in Croatia!🚣

The Year 10 Málaga Spanish trip offered an incredible opportunity for students to explore Spain's rich culture, flavours, and beautiful coastal cities. It was a fantastic experience and we made memories to last a lifetime! 🇪🇸

We enjoyed a day full of fun, laughter, and community spirit at our School Summer Fair! 🌟

We cannot be more proud that our recent graduate Miroslav S. was drafted as the only Slovak Ice Hockey player in to the NHL this year (Washington Capitals)! We are wishing him only the best in his stelar career.

We welcomed our new Year 2 students to CIS who will be joining us for Academic Year 2024/2025. The students met our Year 2 Team and did some fun activities. We can't wait to welcome our new Year 2 students and families after the summer break!😊

Our Year 8 went to Kremnica for an outdoor adventure. They hiked, explored castle ruins and rafted down the river Hron. The via ferrata at Kremnica Skalka was a challenging test of nerve and skill. 💪

Our final School Graduation Assembly was filled with joy, laughter, and a few tears as we reflected on the amazing memories and achievements we've made together. What an incredible journey it's been!🎓✨

We were delighted once again to host the Graduation Ceremony for the Ukrainian School in Evacuation. CIS has now completed 3 successful academic years in partnership with Ukraine-Slovakia SOS / SME SPOLU a non-profit organisation which supports Ukrainian refugees and leads the Ukrainian School in Evacuation, offering lessons to refugee students every evening throughout the school year.

The speakers and guests of honour in attendance were His Excellency, Myroslav Kastran, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Slovak Republic, Mrs. Michaela Bauer, Country Coordinator of UNICEF Slovensko, Mrs. Ganna Schvachka, Head of Ukraine-Slovakia SOS / SME SPOLU, and Mr. Aaron King, Director of Cambridge International School.

Over 200 parents, students and teachers were in attendance, celebrating the success of the school year. Students also offered artistic and moving performances of music, dance and drama in celebration of their culture and heritage.

This Monday, our Year 6 students take the main stage and the backstage for their adaptation of the Shakespeare's MACBETH.

And what a show that was!

Our Year 7-10 students have had an amazing sports day yesterday, sheltered from the pouring rain and enjoying every and last bits of this high energy event!

No pulled muscles, only big smiles and everlasting memories!

We spent an amazing day in Slovan football stadium together with Funiversity celebrating “Children’s Day” in big style with a Cambridge Superheroes theme! 😊

Our very talented Year 4 student Roman, is proving to be next Valentino Rossi! He blazed his way to victory in motorcycle races in Italy and Czech Republic, clinching the top spot in both and solidifying his position as one of Europe's top riders in his age category. Congratulations, Roman!🏍

The students were captivated by the castle's ancient charm and stunning views. Exploring the castle's interiors, they marvelled at its rich history and impressive armoury.

CIS celebrated Spanish Day for the first time with great enthusiasm. The event kicked off with a lively 'Buenos días' gathering featuring delicious Spanish food, student-created OLE magazines, yellow and red paper roses, and a professional Flamenco dancer, bringing Spanish vibes to CIS. ¡Muchas gracias! 🇪🇸

Former teacher, journalist, turned adventurer and story teller Jakob Illek was our guest speaker today. In his Podcast 'Diary Of Volunteers on Earth' he talks to Volunteers from all over the world. His latest adventure took him half across the world. In 5 months he hitchhiked from Austria to India and collected unforgettable memories.🚶‍♂️

On Monday 22nd of April, Mr. Aaron King, Director of Cambridge International School and Ms. Ganna Shavka, Head of Ukraine-Slovakia SOS / SME SPOLU were delighted to invite some very honoured guests to learn more about our collaborative Ukrainian School programme which has now been running at CIS for over 2 years.

The Ambassadors of Great Britain, the United States, Germany, Switzerland, France, Ireland, Spain, the Netherlands, representatives from the Japanese and Ukrainian missions, along with the Head of the Representation of the EU and Head of UNICEF Slovensko joined us .

Our guests had an opportunity to hear more about the project, see lessons in action and speak to the students benefiting from this amazing programme. Thanks to Sandberg Capital the CIS School Leadership Team and the staff of the Ukrainian School in Evacuation for all their support of the event.

We hope that this event will provide a platform for further support and community engagement for the project in the months ahead.🇺🇦

On Saturday we had Forest School Open Morning for our Y1 students and parents. We explored the wonders of nature together from building shelters to identifying flora and fauna.🌳

We celebrated Science Week.
Science isn't just about facts and figures, it's about curiosity, exploration, and pushing the boundaries of what we know. 👨‍🔬

March as the month of books was celebrated in CIS with the opportunity for peer reading in Slovak lessons. Second-grade students visited selected first-grade classes during lessons and engaged in joint reading. 📖📚
