Rotaract Club of Paramaribo is a Rotary sponsored service club in District 7030 for young men and women ages 18 to 30 who are dedicated to community and international service. We think critically about societyโs challenges and act on behalf of our communities to be part of the solution. We seek better solutions to build better communities by improving ourselves constantly. "We Grow by Helping the Community"

๐คฉ Malesia Murray is een 28-jarige kunstenares, nationale winnares van de Kunst Competitie 2020, kunst docente, voormalig kandidate van Tropical Beauties Suriname en toegewijde vrijwilliger.
๐ Afgestudeerd aan de Nola Hatterman Kunst Academie, heeft ze ook opleidingen gevolgd in Marketing, Business, Ondernemerschap (Leduc Consultancy), Leiderschap en Sociaal Werk (Amerikaanse Ambassade).
๐๏ธ Kunst is al van kleins af aan haar passie.
"Op school was ik altijd de beste en scoorde ook hoog in het vak tekenen."
Haar stijlen omvatten Realisme, Impressionisme en Expressionisme. Naast het maken van schilderijen voor klanten, bedrijven en organisaties, geeft ze les aan de Nederlandse Scholengemeenschap Paramaribo en de Nola Kunst Academie, en biedt ze privรฉ teken- en schilderlessen aan.

We have successfully completed the second phase of the 2nd Edition of the Young Peacebuilders program! ๐๐๏ธ
The area of focus of this program is Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention, and SDG 16 - Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.๐๏ธโฎ๏ธโ๏ธ
During the second phase, we had 3 in-person sessions with 6 amazing speakers:
Session 1:

- Norms and Values by Wi Tru Sranan
Session 2:
- Intercultural Communication, Gender Equity and
Peacebuilding by Inoca Rusland
- Challenging the Gender Roles by Fay King and

Gisteren vertrokken vier studenten en een volwassen mentor uit Suriname om deel te nemen aan het 2024 Youth Ambassadors Program met het Caribisch gebied. Deelnemers zullen programmathema's verkennen zoals burgerschapsvorming, leiderschap, vrijwilligerswerk, en jeugd- en sociale transformatie door middel van verschillende activiteiten. Wij wensen deze indrukwekkende jonge mensen het allerbeste.
Yesterday four students and an adult mentor departed Suriname to participate in the 2024 Youth Ambassadors Program with the Caribbean. Participants will explore program themes such as civic education, leadership, community service, and youth and social transformation through various activities. Wishing the very best to these impressive young people.

Special Disaster Relief Fund: We've established a special fund to mobilize additional financial resources. We encourage individuals and Rotaract Clubs who wish to provide financial support to donate via the link below:

For the second time since 2023, ๐ we have teamed up with Wi Tru Sranan ๐ค to help develop and nurture Suriname's youth through the 'Young Peacebuilders Program'.

On the 18th of May, 2024, our Professional Development Avenue held their last training session, Bridgebuilders 2.0. ๐
Bridgebuilders 2.0 has been a recurring project within three months, since our first edition in January 2024. This time, the focus was on Promoting Diplomacy through Emotional Intelligence ๐ค, while stimulating Cognitive Flexibility ๐ง .
It was a tremendous honor to have Rotarian Lucien Naarden as our speaker again! ๐ค
The Professional Development Avenue thanks everyone, that supported and attended these training sessions during the fiscal year 2023-2024. ๐
