Why should a quality education be a priority ?

Education means a process of imparting knowledge, skill and judgement.Albert Einstein once said,"Education is not all about learning many facts but the training of the mind", proper preparation of the teachers who have willingly choosen to offer it without losing the direction is paramount.

Virtues of quality education are calibrated in people's mind ,learners are expected to be dociled,When what people expect of them come to nought, their trainers and the institution which trained them could be doubted.

In addition , students have to be disciplined thoroughly before coming to the society, life is a hard nut to crack, but it can be harness to be docile. This requires learners to be exposed.

In contrast, judgemental skill is fundamental in quality education. A learner must be given a new angle of viewing things. If not so; then he/she must be at the critical condition. It is vital for a person to know what is good and bad; albeit his academic potential ,it is worse for a person who is considered to have gone through the learning process to fail to handle simple matters which requires critical thinking.

Further more, the commonplace question is,If the world is offering a true education, where do those who can not decern hail from?,those who can not distinguish spade and the spoon spring out from?

This questions are challenging the intellect of the learnt ones. The proverb says,"As you make your bed you must lie on it",the more the teachers and other stakeholders in transforming the societies neglect the early child training, the more education shall be of no value.A true education must focus on doing what can appease a burning heart instead of wollowing oneself in a Mire of anger. The stupidest creatures is the one who is half way transformed, for it had been said,"Little civilisation is a disease! " .It call upon all the teachers to make sure they train the naive to be upright in four dimensions of life, be it social, mental, spiritual as well as physical.

Therefore remember, the world is full of issues which need people of higher intellect to handle them.
Many institutions as they might be in our world are only focusing on two dimensions ,the physical and mental. But the biggest question is how can a four legged chair stand when you plucked out two of its legs?; I think it can't be possible.

A wholesome education must be provided with all its aspects. If the trained ones are now the ones wallowed in the mire of confusion. Then alot of questions must come to minds .

Many of the people are doubting the kind of education be offered today. If the ones who are spearheading communities distintergration are PhD holders, degrees holders, masters and all sorts of distinctive academic credentials. Then it would be of no need,we rather not have it .

Let it be a transformative tool and not a deformative tool .

A girl mentorship and education program is of crucial importance for the empowerment and development of girls and young women. Here are some key reasons why such programs are essential:

1. Empowerment: Mentorship and education programs provide girls with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to develop confidence, self-esteem, and a sense of agency. By empowering girls, these programs help them realize their full potential, make informed decisions, and take control of their lives.

2. Academic Success: Mentorship and education programs can significantly impact girls' academic success. Through personalized guidance and support, mentors can help girls set goals, develop study skills, and navigate educational challenges. This support improves their academic performance, boosts their confidence, and increases their motivation to excel in their studies.

3. Career Guidance: Mentorship programs play a crucial role in guiding girls towards successful careers. Mentors can share their experiences, provide insights into different professions, and offer guidance on educational paths and job opportunities. By exposing girls to diverse career options, these programs help them make informed choices and pursue their professional aspirations.

4. Personal and Social Development: Mentorship programs foster personal growth and social development in girls. Mentors serve as role models, offering guidance on issues like self-care, mental health, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Through supportive relationships, girls gain a sense of belonging, develop resilience, and learn valuable life skills for their future.

5. Breaking Stereotypes: Mentorship and education programs challenge gender stereotypes and societal norms that hinder girls' progress. By providing positive role models and promoting inclusive values, these programs help girls defy limitations and strive for equality. This can lead to more diverse career choices, improved community engagement, and a broader impact

Abc learns a lesson:

Abc is a middle aged man. Although he was born in a poor family, he was raised well by his father and mother. His father owned a welding shop, and used to work for more than 12 hours a day, so that his family could lead a comfortable life.

However, abc's father could not earn sufficient money to provide a decent life to his family. abc was an average student in school, and used to score around 70 percent marks. abc's dream was to become a doctor. Since his marks weren't very high, he could not get the desired course that he wanted to study. Instead, he joined a bachelor's degree course, completed the course successfully, and got a job in a company.

While his life was going on with no dramatic change, his father continued to work in his welding shop, so that he did not have to depend on abc. After getting a permanent job, abc's parents wanted him to marry. He got married to a girl from his native town, and at the same time was also promoted in his job. After a few years, his wife gave birth to beautiful twin boys.

Later, abc began to earn a handsome salary, and started to live luxuriously. He bought a new house and a new car. Some of the luxuries were really unnecessary. Although his company provided him with a car, abc purchased a new car!

After an extravagant life that spanned almost 6 to 7 years, abc was neither able to manage all the household expenses, nor pay for the children's education and other basic necessities.

It so happened that abc's father fell sick, and as a result, could not continue his work in the welding shop. He requested abc to give some money for his treatment and other household expenses.

abc, who was already suffering from financial crisis, shouted at his parents and told them that he had no money to provide. He complained to his parents, "You never sent me to a big school. I was not provided with expensive clothes. You rarely fed me with my favorite food. I was not able to taste different varieties of food. When I got low marks you didn't have enough money to provide me with private tuition, and it took me more than 10 years to get settled. Now, while I am again struggling for money, you are not doing anything to help me, but instead are a burden to me! So, please don't come to me again."

His parents were left shattered.

After a week, while abc was on an official tour, he met a small boy aged about 10 years selling toys. The boy requested abc to buy something. abc asked the boy why he was selling toys instead of studying. The boy replied, "My father met with an accident a year ago and he lost one hand. He cannot work now. My mother works as a maid in a few houses. I'm helping my parents by selling these toys. I go to school in the morning, and sell toys in the evenings. I work for 3 hours a day and study at night!"

abc purchased a few toys from the little boy. He thought about what the boy had said. He realized that he had been wrong in the way he treated his parents. He had learnt a lesson from the small boy. At a very small age, this boy was helping his parents, but abc, in order to meet the demands of his lavish lifestyle, had neglected his parents.

So, what can we learn from abc and this poor, small boy?

Respect is the foundation of love, and it is our duty to take care of our parents, when we get older and mature.

Why do we always settle for the less?

Why do we always settle for the less?

In our lives, we predominantly settle for less than we truly deserve. There are tons of causes for this conduct and the consequences that result from it. Fear of failure often holds us back from pursuing our aspirations and realizing our maximum potential. Lack of self-confidence and cultural pressure also contribute to this issue, as individuals doubt their abilities and submit to societal norms rather than pursue their own goals.

The comfort zone mentality reinforces this behavior, as we prefer the security of familiarity to the unknowns of venturing outside our comfort zones. However, settling for less has serious consequences. As people realize they have wasted opportunities and abandoned their aspirations, regret, and unfulfilled potential, become persistent companions. Individuals are prevented from attaining their full potential and living satisfying lives because of stagnation and a lack of personal progress. Other consequences of settling for less include unsatisfying relationships and professions. Individuals who accept mediocrity jeopardize their pleasure and wind up in unpleasant situations. This impacts their general well-being and limits their potential to thrive.

Furthermore, individuals must acknowledge the potential repercussions of this tendency and embrace their current potential to overcome it. They must overcome their fear of failure and gain self-confidence. To break free from the cycle of settling for less, it is vital to challenge cultural standards and venture beyond one's comfort zone. By doing this, people can live lives that are in line with their true aspirations and discover fulfillment in going after their dreams.

Martin Luther King once remarked, "We must accept finite disappointment but never lose infinite hope." His insight shows us that accepting less restricts our potential and the impact we may have on the world. Instead, we need to push ourselves to be better and not settle for anything less than what we are capable of. By embracing our aspirations and tenaciously pursuing them, we may improve our own lives and inspire others to do so as well.

ONCE YOU SPREAD YOUR LEGS TO CLIMB THE LADDER OF SUCCESS,JUST KNOW THAT YOU HAVE LETDOWN WOMEN WHO WORK HARD TO BE SUCCESSFUL.

Quitting or refusing that fancy office or job offer with s*xual attachment and fat salary is much more better than being s*xually harassed with rounds of s*x on the office tables, in the office bathrooms, in the boss chair, being touch without your permission, getting s*xual transmitted diseases/viruses and later losing the job and integrity once you say no to his s*xual harassment, quit early or report.

Once you refuse or quit, life might not be the same but you have your integrity and you will always sleep in one peace happily knowing that whatever you did was the right thing to do and while you might be seeing one or two ladies sleeping around to be more successful in their careers, believe me not that success will only last as long as she is beautiful.

No woman in life can say, no man has ever approached in place of work, business or just when is going by her daily businesses but many of them say a serious no to the man in question, and if that man have humanity in him, he will leave the woman to just focus but he is a heartless person who will continue to harass her in any slightest opportunity, she will definitely resign, that is what many women do outside there.

Be it in the place of work, a place of financial quest or any other difficult situation where a woman is struggling, some men will say “ rub my back as I rub yours”, a common phrase use to lure a woman into s*xual activity, once a man say so and you give in so that you can get ahead of other ladies and women who are in the same careeer, so that you get the corner office of your dreams, just know that, they next generation of women will be expected to lay down so as to get to the top.

Sexual harassment is rampant in this country and some other countries because there are so many desperate women due to some financial difficulties, poverty, low self-esteem and peer pres

South Sudan Basketball.

🗣Boniface N'Dong, Senegal Basketball Coach’s comment on our Basketball team’s recent progress “I can not says if South Sudan will dominate African basketball in the coming years, but they are well on their way. They have a good sports policy.

🗣 You can see that the team is progressing with each campaign. They manage to keep their group together and gradually graft young players. We will have to rely on them in the nearer future. This does not mean that we have to kill the other teams who are in the process of rebuilding themselves.

🗣In short, the South Sudanese have a physical game and are skillful. The team is young, improving. And they manage to get the best players.

Saving our planet, lifting people out of poverty, advancing economic growth... these are one and the same fight. We must connect the dots between climate change, water scarcity, energy shortages, global health, food security and women's empowerment. Solutions to one problem must be solutions for all.

We have a gender wage gap as a result of gender inequality. In a similar vein, it makes some genders more vulnerable to violence and discrimination. They also experience socioeconomic disparity and objectification. In the end, all of this leads to extreme anxiety, melancholy, and even low self-esteem. Lets mitigate gender inequality.

Further more, the question is always,If the world is offering a true education, where do those that know not the difference between the vipers and fish, the spade and the spoon spring out from?.This question is for the teachers and the fathers, and those who have chosen to learn. For it had been said,"as you make your bed you must lie on it",the more the teachers and other stakeholders in transforming the societies neglect the early child training, the more education shall be of no value.A true education must focus on doing what can appease a burning heart instead of wollowing oneself in a Mire of anger. The stupidest creatures is the one who is half way transformed, for it had been said,"Little civilisation is a disease! Basically the designers of any of the curriculums includes all basics of quality education, but the problem is,are they being implemented the way they have been designed, the ministry of education is not making a follow up though there are guide lines. The ministry of education must always be blamed if students and pupils are trampling upon education,For instance ,you could find a student in the class this week ;come next week he has disappeared, then after one month when mole concept, organic chemistry 1 and 2 are already taught, he will now come to sit for exams< .But during his last exams he may learn by heart and score very good marks in chemistry and others science subjects, he can be echoing what he had obtained but has nothing to depend it when he is called upon.

My Last word is ,Plato has once said,"For good nurture and education implant good constitutions.",I am not quite sure we upcoming youth will do anything, our parliament shall be full of the lawless in their numbers, who have not recieved any transformation they were exposed to.I am not mistaken to mention that if our fathers who were well trained have corrupted our country, how will it escape flames if the less work is done?

Hi Daniel,

I’m Alem Mumuni from Ghana. I developed polio when I was two years old; at this time, outbreaks were common. My right leg became disfigured and I crawled until the age of 10, when I began to walk using a stick. I was marginalised, stigmatized, and discriminated against because of my disability.

My parents were peasant farmers in Saligu in northern Ghana. I knew that the only way for me to succeed in life would be to get an education, so I persuaded my family to let me attend primary school, whilst I worked on the farm to fund my education. I later discovered a passion for sport. This would later help me to beat my disability and inspire change.

I moved to the capital, Accra, where I played for the national amputee football team while I also worked. I broke my leg and was no longer able to compete, but I met a sports scientist who helped me realise my talent for cycling.

Since then, I’ve competed in numerous world championships, and at the London 2012 and the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. I’ve traveled across the world and used my voice to advocate for positive change through the media, and have delivered speeches at schools, sporting events, and others.

I set up the Alem Foundation, which supports children with and without disabilities to get an education and access healthcare. I raise funds through the foundation to pay for school uniforms, books, and fees, and provide communities with water filters to prevent diseases like polio. The foundation has also funded surgery for children with disabilities. At times, our family has gone without food to be able to take care of the children we’ve sponsored.

Since I was young, I’ve felt the need to prove myself and raise awareness of people with disabilities to change the perception that they are ‘social parasites,’ ‘beggars,’ or ‘cursed.’ My dream is to see all children, especially those with disabilities, given equal opportunities to education and all other areas of life.

Please share my story to raise awareness on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities today:

Thank you for reading my story. Together, we can get rid of preventable diseases for good, and help ensure equal opportunities for people with disabilities.
