South Sudan Basketball Federation (SSBF) names four new players in the roster for Afrobasket 2025 qualifiers later this month.
The four players whose names are yet to be disclosed by the federation will join up with eight members of the team in Senegal.
South Sudan will take on Mozambique, Mali, and DRC Congo in the qualifiers from the 22nd to 24th November in the Senegalese Capital Dakar.
According to reports, the team will enter camp on 15th November but is faced with financial challenges.
Despite government’s support in the previous competitions such as the World Cup and Olympic games, finances for the qualifiers are yet to be released.
The team put up a fantastic performance during the debut at the World Cup in 2023 and the 2024 Paris Olympics games.
South Sudan currently ranks first in Africa and 23rd in the world, according to FIBA rankings.

THE PAIN IN US.
In trying to lift the veils
Of sleazes wrapped on us,
We feel awed in giving our
All;
To cause a demise to a course,
Firmly entrenched at the society’s
Depth.
For pangs fill our hearts.
We who try ceaselessly,
To root out fates embedded
In the heart of a society
—failed, fallen!

If you're irritated by a rub, how do you want your mirror polished? ~Rumi
Many young people —the youth who are finding their potential & way to self-discovery don't see the positive side of criticism but instead see it as their downfall & inimical to their self-discovery.
How do you want your mirror polished? If you don't use criticism as a way of finding your potential & self discovery. Those who'd made it through took criticism as a ladder & not their downfall.
First of all, there's a reason why one is being criticised. One can be criticised when he/she is trying to put things right. One is too criticised for being focused & moving miles with his/her pace & and that irritates enemies of progress.
So it is okay to be criticised & remember to move at your own pace. Be you & don't let people's opinions drag you down. Believe in yourself knowing that confidence is the one key to finding your potential.

5 Habit Rich People Will Not Tell You.
1. A single minute of procrastination can destroy a month of hard work and discipline.
2. Rich people don't use their money to show off. They use their money to make more money. Any show-off at all is done with the proceedings of their investment.
3. Earning money while sleeping is the ultimate flex.
4. Never show off but keep winning in private. Not everyone wants to see you winning.
5. Mingling with like-minded friends who encourage you to do better is the real game changer.
STAY BLESSED ✌️
Don’t use the weekend to escape from your life. Use it to create the life you want.
South Sudanese ladies who speak Kiswahili fear pregnancy more than STDs.
The dream is to have the unenlighten enlightened making it clear to them that God and religion are two things which are parallel. That one can have a direct relationship with Him without the religion.

If we don’t change the way we think, our experiences will continue to remain the same.
There are two types of men—the breaker & the fixer. Girls fall in love with the first but marry the second.
Water business has been monopolized by Eritreans, who do door to door supplies of water in Juba and beyond.
Darfurians are the wholesalers of foodstuffs.
Kenyans man the banking industry. They own Equity Bank, KCB, Cooperative, which charge abnormal interest rates.
Ethiopians have taken the hospitality industry. Any five star hotel in Juba is either owned by an Ethiopian or his associates.
Ugandans do light technical works. Of later, Nigerians and Congolese are putting their acts together.
Energy sector is owned by Somalis. Saved for Nilepet, any other petrol station has a Somali shareholder.
These people didn't take up these sectors by force. They saw the gap and capitalized on it.
And the citizens?
They sleep and spend their money on women, who are ferried into the Ethiopian owned hotels using cars fueled by Somalis, eat foods bought from Darfurian stores with cash withdrawn from the Kenyan Banks and drink from the Eritrean sold water. See, the whole country is literally taken.
In short, we are a prideful, spending country, with a very "un-enterprising" mentality.
When a South Sudanese gets money, instead of investing, he only thinks about two things: food-to energize himself- and women. His libido becomes directly proportional to the amount of money he has got under his mattress. Useless.
So, why should we cry when these people get offended and and down their tools and/or close their businesses?
What solutions do we have to rectify this national dependency?
